I had the opportunity to visit after it last erupted I believe it was in 1979 . St Vincent and the Grenadines is truly a beautiful Island. I really enjoyed my stay. Be safe and God is good all the time.

1 000 000 m^3 = 35 314 667 ft^3. So the mass that has been extruded/effused is equivalent to a cube with sides 328 ft. That is a not a lot of material, relatively speaking. If it continues this way, hopefully most of the magma will reach the top and with the vent still opened, there will not be an explosive eruption. Hopefully.

So far the dome growth rate (~1 m^3/s) is towards the low end of the range recorded for similar events throughout the world. Rates of dome growth have been recorded to greater than 10 m^3/s. Hopefully this hints at a lower risk for a transition to explosive activity. If growth rate increases, that could be bad.

    1) If rainfall created a crust on top. Will it cause the lava and gases to take another route with less resistance? 2) Hopefully the pressure will not build up? 3) Is there a man made way to help the lava flow out and prevent a serious harmful eruption? 4) Did the 6 dormant volcanoes start from the South and once they became dormant another got created over and over until La Soufriere was created?

Volcanoes are the most powerful elements on earth because they can trigger off any other destruction like tsunamis, earthquakes, fire destruction, and when they comes with pyroclastic flow thousands does die....so do not underestimate them they are pure killing machines... that's all you need to know.

@@AndreasDelleske the question (paraphrasing) was which is more urgent a volcanic eruption or a pandemic. My answer is volcano any day....I will be more concern about safety during a volcanic eruption than a pandemic.
