Born and raised in California, LA specifically. For Charlie to say he hated California, I have to agree. It's a place to visit not to live UNLESS you're trying to become a star or something. Either way even many famous people moved out to TX for example. Cali is chaotic, expensive and full of pretentious people. It's toxic

Visit - yes; live - no (if you know what's good for ya). Up here north we pay exorbitant prices for "the weather". I'm putting it in quotes, coz granted it's fine most of the time... In 2017 my city got absolutely decimated by 3 separate fires. Engineers (job i used to do before illness) tell them for hundreds of years to not build on a certain hillside. It's only got 1 street - one way of escape from fire. They keep building MANSIONS and expensive nursing homes! Staff in those NH's escaped and left old people in wheelchairs (some on 2nd floor) to save themselves. That tells you a lot about humanity of this place. As does the whole homelessness situation. The city built a 10mil dollar slab of concrete (serves no purpose whatsoever) in the middle of the city. They would rather sink $$ into that, than a low income development.. or maybe a mental health clinic. Mental health issue is in HUGE way connected with what's happening in SF for example.. people pooping on the streets, needles everywhere.. i mean we made fun of India for poo on streets, and now look at us. I don't know.. if I somehow survive this next few months.. and after Mom passes, I'm thinking of trying like hell to go back to Europe. Not to my shitty country (Bosnia. No jobs.. very corrupt govt & everything else). But any other European country will do. Even Finland, ranked the happiest country in the world year after year. Even their prison system is oriented towards humane treatment. I'd love the boring life where shootings don't happen on a daily, and I'm not constantly worried about something or other. I know that's adulting, but there's places you can be happy living in.. and then there's California. Toldya OP summed it up much better. Lol. Hugsss wherever in the world you are!! P.s. i get no help with Mom.. though she's got Hospice. They don't care. I can't lift her. No one gives a shit. Die, bitch! Survival of the RICH. So use your time wisely, don't get attached to stuff, move and start anew if you aren't happy and can move. This place ate my entire 30s for no reason. Just coz i got unlucky with illness i did nothing to get. Bam! From engineer to homeless.. Sometimes I think Eagles had it right on "you can check out but you can never leave" in the literal sense of the statement.

I was thinking the same thing. There was even a police car that drove past the others, but it looks like it had its lights and siren off. haven't watched the full thing yet so grain of salt but a lot of the time its more dangerous to try to stop them and with a helicopter most departments have officers trail till the vehicle inevitably stops very serious crimes don't apply to this aka murder etc. but if its just a stolen car its not worth it

They can end chases really quickly if they disregard public safety. Unfortunately it's a lot harder to end a chase when the car is surrounded by pedestrians and other cars. The police just kinda have to wait, looming around the area until he either crashes or comes to a stop for whatever reason, then they can safely engage and arrest them.
