"La Califfa" - Ennio Morricone

La Califfa (The Lady Caliph) is a 1970 Franco-Italian drama film directed by Alberto Bevilacqua about organised labour in Italy. It was entered into the 1971 Cannes Film Festival.
The soundtrack is one of Morricone's most beautiful scores, and features some wonderful melodies, and delicate textures.
The title song is performed here with myself on Flugelhorn, and Karl Whelan on Piano.

So, so nicely played! All the more impressive to achieve that degree of nuance and interpretation that this was done separately. All three of my kids have come by to ask me "What is that song you keep listening to over and over? Is that a Christmas carol?" Thank you for posting this :)
