I own a 16 6.7 powerstroke and absolutely love my truck. The sound of it is awesome and the power it puts down is impressive. I have a full 5” exhaust, “diet”, 5 position tuner, CP4 disaster kit put on it upgraded 5 disc torque converter from Randy’s transmission out of Utah. Few more things I personally wanna do but these 6.7’s are beast.
Bed stacks is the 1st step in transitioning
The L5P and Ram smoked the Powerstroke in TFL Ike gauntlet tow test. No one gives a shit about drag racing diesels. When it comes to real towing, the Ford came in LAST.
I’d run that 6.7!!! 🤷♂️ just a lil ole lml
Not to be mean but I never have seen a duramax that could out run any powerstroke
which one has more tune potential out of the newer trucks?

37s and 7.5” lift on a mostly stick truck other than tuned and deleted is not a drag machine but it held its own pretty good. It really all depends on what you have and what’s done to it. My lb7 is slightly more built than this ford and it’s much faster and puts down quite a bit more power. There is a limit to all of them until you start building bottom ends so at some point they will all be close in power and performance
id love to show off my truck and race i have a 18 l5p with a hood stack and 65mm turbo pushing around 700-750

I have an l5p and i can tell you a 200hp tune would eat the older ford.
Take that prefilter off the intake of the 6.7 that restricts so much low end torque.

I eat durmaxes with my 6.7 just deleted and tuned like really bad only things i respect are them 5.9 Cummins wen the trans is build
6.7 jumped on the second race.
I would imagine the race would be dead even if the l5p had no lift and similar wheel and tire set up. Good race

@@kingOpooPee an increase in rotational mass will definetly slow you down the most, and a taller tire is harder to turn than a shorter tire. not to mention that a lift kit adds weight and drag

@@kingOpooPee depending on what size you go with could be more could be less. but the matter of the fact is, is that a larger size tire and rim will still, slow you down enough to lose a race.
The ford has all those mods Aftermarket turbo and all. SMH. Not fair
L5p would eat that 6.7 if it wasn’t lifted

@@4wdaddict416.7 had the jump. L5p still pulled on him. Lots of rotational mass on the l5p. lift kit and tires won’t help that’s for sure.

Dude, you do realize that the turbo on the truck ( if it’s a 2014-15 is gonna be a 64mm turbo…) so all the other shit is just cooling mods for towing and horse play… I have ran them all. 2018 plus Powerstroke will walk all of the diesels out there deleted. It’s not a matter of my option is better than yours. I own a 5.9 Cummins 2005( built tranny with smarty tunes) will walk any diesel from 2005 with the same mods.
Ford better work truck than Chevy. Next. Get a ram with a Cummins. Chevy? Problems all the time. GMC stands for. garbage motor company. Lol😢
That isn’t even fair. Put a s363 turbo in the l5p and drop it back to stock height, and then run them. L5p would fucking smoke that 6.7.

Duramaxes are not fast unless work done to motor I destroyed 3 with my 6.7 just with an h&s mini max
