L3Harris CNVD-LR Overview

Ғылым және технология

The L3Harris CNVD-LR is a clip-on night vision device that attaches in front of a magnified day scope. This gives the shooter the ability to use their day scope at night. The CNVD-LR attaches to a standard 1913 picatinny rail directly in front of the shooters day scope without having to move the day scope and re-zero the optic. This lets the shooter use the same rifle in both daylight and night time conditions.
In this video we do an overview of the L3 CNVD-LR and go over the nuances of this clip-on night vision device.

We do not recommend to put any expensive electro-optics on the scar. If you really want to get into the clip-on game then we would absolutely recommend to reevaluate your host with something like a SR-25. Scars kill virtually everything, it just depends how long it takes.

I wil add that if you manage to switch your scar with a newer NRCH version you’d be good.

@@jacklavelle1716 This hasn’t been proven yet, but yes the NRCH SCARs will have *slightly* less mass slamming forward. But the BCG is still large and heavy.

The main problem with SCARs beating optics to death isn't just the high mass of the BCG, but mainly it's the shape of the receiver and its harmonics. It's open on the bottom, shaped like an upside down U. That's the problem. Until they totally redesign the SCAR receiver until it's basically an ACR in that regard, it's going to have this problem.
