L3Harris CNVD-LR - Clip On Night Vision Device Long Range

The L3Harris CNVD-LR is a clip-on night vision device that attaches in front of a magnified day scope. This gives the shooter the ability to use their day scope at night. This lets the shooter use the same rifle in both daylight and night time conditions providing a huge advantage over traditional dedicated night vision scopes.
In this video we dive into an overview and explore the nuances of what we call the King of Clip-Ons, the L3Harris CNVD-LR.
*Please note that in the video we state the unit can be used from 2-20x. To clarify, the technical bottom end magnification range is around 2.3-2.5x to get a full image. Also the housing is constructed of high impact polymer and aluminum which is noted at the end of the video*

Seen a couple of videos on this unit but no real view thru the optic, hard to spend the amount of cash on something without only description is that it has great optics, pictures say more than words and maybe this is something to consider.
How about the 16 inch 308 revolution with a suppressor so no 3 chamber break mitigation recoil?
What are you using for illumination at 1k yards? Buddy and I have been trying to stretch the distance but even with a kiji it’s a no go. Any suggestions on long range illumination?

For my MK5 HD 2-10 can I use the L3 CNVD or do I need the LR?
If we are using a 2-10x is the non LR CNVD better?
If I could make some suggestions concerning video and audio quality : zoom in a bit, you're framing way too wide, so much of the screen is just backdrop, get closer, feels better for the viewer, and we can see better what you're talking about. For audio : get some soundproofing in the room, you guys can probably afford some studio soundproofing foam haha. And run your audio through a noise canceller after recording (Audacity does it well), there's a noticeable background noise.
Is this better or the same as the KAC PVS 30 clip on?

Unless you need a magnum caliber recoil rating, these are better in every way.

These things are cool however I looked up the price for this and it’s 10,000.00 for that kinda money I can buy a IR scope for 2-3k and a bolt action 308 or AR-10 for 1000.00 and save 6-7 grand. The price is really night imo…

@@davidmckechnie2640 We would not put these on a SCAR, anything that goes on a SCAR needs to be specifically scar rated. The harmonics are severe and can eat even the toughest optics. If you wanted to use a SCAR we would recommend the PVS-30.
