Since I learned about body canvas and all of the layers that go into the chest and forepart, I've wondered how professional tailors make a jacket look so smooth and crisp. This lesson and previous ones have taught me a lot about how this is done via proper handling of the cloth and how and when to use the iron. Obviously, future lessons will share more about this. A career in professional tailoring is for those who are willing to put the time and effort into learning the techniques and also be able to work fast, or for those who want an excellent fit and fabric and are willing to pay a skilled craftsperson to make it. The world needs more professional tailors!

For what I know, to get the lapel to roll it should be padded turned on the right side of the fabric with the canvas curving over the fabric, this is what you call relative length so I don't understand here or is it explained somewhere else how the lapel will roll?

If you're confused about the stretching of the front edge inlay and how it helps the lapel to roll, please watch lesson 18 - Edge to Fold Transfer: kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y4Z9qs2ncaW-gMo.html

I have a question: why don’t you stitch all the canvas on the lapel to have the structured curve on it?

You should go back and watch the pad stitching lesson. He has already done that.
