I feel like 5 and 6 had Kiryu more as the final boss, Kiryu tested Aizawa because he wanted to prove he was worthy of taking over the Omi Alliance. In 6, Kiryu was set on killing Iwami, he was truly the more menacing person in the room and Iwami knew that, which is why he was resorting to such low tactics as taking Haruka hostage, Kiryu was more of an obstacle in Iwami's way than the other way around.

どことなく好きになれたり、憎めなかったり桐生と一緒に応援したくなるのが龍が如くのラスボスの特徴だけどその型を破った珍しいキャラだし、遥たちと極道の誇りを守る桐生に対する極道の中の外道って感じが巖見の特徴でもあるし、最期まで外道を貫き通すのも本当に暴力でしか終わらせられない最後のラスボスって雰囲気があって個人的にはいいと思うな、桐生が激昂リミッター解除で動いて殺しにかかっている姿が最終決戦らしくて格好いいのも、巖見が筆舌に尽くし難い外道だったのが効いているのかもしれないね、そんなこのシーンで流れるこの曲は桐生の極道の誇りと大切な人を守るために命をかける覚悟と巖見の野望と負けられない意志が伝わるし、巖見にとって完全な負け戦にしかならないこのバトルで流れるのも意地の競り合いみたいで好きだよ

「暴力でしか終わらせられない最後のラスボス」全くその通りですね！それこそがこのキャラの魅力だと私も思います。両者が闘いに込める意志に、緊迫感と荒々しさがあるこのbgmもよく合ってますよね。 個人的には、これで強者であれば多分もっと受け入れられたんじゃないかなと思ってます(それは製作陣の狙いではないとは思いますが) 龍オンのキャラストで見せたように、中身が小物だろうとも「相当な実力だけはある」点を強調して、本編のでも暴れる描写が見たかったなあ…なんて思ってます笑　破壊的で恐ろしい側面を見せて欲しかったですね

Little baby iwami

I think Iwami was way too easy of a boss, but I love it from a story perspective. It's a very unique boss from Kiryu's POV. With most of his other opponents, he was always willing to understand, forgive, and give a second chance to them. Take Nishiki, Mine, Hamazaki for example. He even held great respect for Aizawa. But he couldn't give a fuck about Iwami, all he cared about was beating the shit out of him so he couldn't hurt his family anymore. He was even willing to kill this man.

I think it was a good fight. He used others as puppets to do the dirty work for him and when it was his turn to step up to kiryu he gets his ass kicked. Kind of like the final boss of rockstars Bully.

Iwami was easily the most scummy yakuza in the series, the guy had no boundaries going as far as to kill a baby so he can stop being in daddy's lap, kuze and the rest in 0 would've killed the coward for his actions

That is what I actually kinda liked about Iwami. Kiryu's past final bosses were yakuza who had a code or a moral they were following: even if some of the things they did could be seen by us as "evil," they were opponents worthy of Kiryu. So his final fights with them weren't exactly fights of "good vs. evil," but a clash of their ideals vs. Kiryu's. But Iwami was an entirely different story. Iwami had no moral or code or ideals, he only wanted power. And he was willing to kill innocent people for it. And that's why I liked Iwami as a final boss: Kiryu didn't see him as an equal or as a worthy opponent, he was the only final boss that Kiryu hated. Iwami was pure evil, plain and simple. Damn right every one of Kiryu's final bosses would kill Iwami in the afterlife.

これ 峯戦とか錦戦 龍司戦 渋澤戦とかでだったら 流れてもめっちゃかっこいいのにな

歴代のボスは漢としてのプライドをかけてる感があって巌見恒雄は野心100パーセントで闘ってる印象。 けどなかなか他の漢っぽいキャラとは違って外道やけど徹底的に容赦ない人格は筋もんとしては良いキャラと思った。最後の戦いに生き様賭けてるのは皆一緒やわね

コイツこそ真の筋もんよなあ。任侠や漢気なんていうファンタジーに誰も見向きをしなくなり、金と恫喝だけが支配するようになっていった時代のヤクザの頂点。持てる能力全てをフルに活用して各勢力を思いのままに操り、桐生ちゃんというファンタジーの申し子がいなければ、既に2大極道組織を統べるという歴代の誰もが到達しえなかった権力に辿り着いた男。 わざわざケンカの土俵に上がってしまったのが運の尽きでしたね。でもそこに、生き様を賭けた意地があったんでしょうね

Wish we had more scenes of Kiryu being *truly* pissed off. He becomes legit terrifying.

he's the weakest antagonist story wise,but that doesn't mean he's inherently bad,he's the "evil for the sake of being evil"character done right and he fits perfectly with Y6's theme of family while also pushing Kiryu's moral principle he's had since forever to the limit which is perfect since its his final game.

He has the right to be the most underrated antagonist . And that's why , Kiryu calls him little baby . Because Iwami is nothing if we compare him to antagonists like Ryuji , Nishiki , Shibusawa , etc .

@@crotch4821 Not only that but Iwami works on a metaphorical level since they had a similar upbringing to Kiryu, both were kids who looked up to their father/father figure and wanted to be like them, however the father wanted them to lead an honest life to which they refused. If anything Iwami could be a representation of everything Kiryu could have become had he not held onto his morals and principles in Yakuza 1 or even arguably, if he did that killing blow on Shibusawa in 0 when he was still young and figuring out what kind of person he is.

確かに巌見は今までのボスみたいに敵ながらの魅力とかは全然なかったなぁ。 まぁ生ける伝説とまで言われた来栖猛の実子でなおかつ来栖猛2代目(現状広島No. 1)の極道が桐生の物語のラスボスだったって考えりゃまだ救われるな。 巌見ももうちょっと演出とか頑張ればまだいいボスだったかもしれないのに。。せっかくBGMこんなに素晴らしいのにさ

Right. Tsuneo Iwami is most weakast, and worst Last boss i ever seen. Seriously? Conquer the Criminal Underworld with...Yomei Aliance? they just Iwami Shipbuilding's Corporate Fixers whose pokes themselves in Hiroshima almost 30 Years for that "Secret of Onomichi", right? with that hillbilly-like Organization? give me a Break... speaking of Yomei Alliance, i really, really feel the cultural difference between Japan and Other Counturies. most of Crime Organizations disguise themselve as "legitimate company". but...this Yomei Alliance are completely opposite! Iwami Shipbuildings disguise their Corporate Fixers as "Criminal Organization" ! that's really weird. (according to Heizo, Yomei is originated from company executive's private organization for its aim Protect the Secret of Onomichi) i guess thats because most of Japanese Yakuza Group in reality, have their own Offices in the street...WITH THEIR ORGANIZATIONS NAME. i mean, in Public. not even trying to Hide the organizations name as Legimated Company. Jesus. what the hell is wrong with Japanese legal system???

One SHITTY QTE ( camera angle of the kick was shit, impact was shit), one phase and lifebar ( good thing is that he does much damage if he hits you ). Shibusawa, Nishiki and Mine were great but this is a step backwards

Yomei Aliance and Iwami Shipbuilding ARE unique organization in RGG universe. Heizo Iwami the top of both organizations accepts bribes in return for "secret of Onomichi" by Minoru Daidoji who one of the top of japanGov. And this is why Yomei Aliance don't try to disguise in public. I think Tsuneo Iwami is perfect final boss for RGG6 and Kiryu's final story. Cuz RGG6's theme is "father and son" like Iwami and Kiryu. And he is the most bastard on RGG series. Even Kiryu wanted to kill Tsuneo. But sadly, he is too weakness like tutorial boss or something. It is my only discontent.

It was meant to be like this. Iwami's supposed to represent a complete sleazebag and a coward who weaseled his way to success through treachery and having others do the dirty work for him. Kiryu's taunt to him encapsulates it - "Little Baby Iwami". That's why I believe Iwami was made so easy to beat.

I think that's fitting. This was different to any other final Yakuza boss. Kiryu was always willing to understand or give a second chance to his other enemies. Like Nishikiyama, Hamazaki, Mine, etc. Kiryu didn't give a shit about Iwami though. All he cared about was killing him. Aside from this boss being WAY too easy imo, I think it's a really great one.

Thier was an old saying. The worst way to enrage a dragon is to touch what he treasures most.

まあ大道寺からは「桐生一馬を始末できたならお前も来栖猛を名乗るがいい」って言われてましたし、そういう意味での巌見恒雄なんじゃないかと。

人質などの手段を取って保険を取らないといけない。腹を括れない彼の性格的に伝説の極道である「来栖猛」を名乗る資格が無いというメッセージなのかもしれない。入墨も優れた統治者の前に現れるハクタクなのも皮肉。 あくまで優れた統治者である来栖猛の威を借るしかないって意味で来栖猛と出ても良かったとは思うけど。

巌見の魅力がないのと直前の演出からのダークなイントロもあって 巌美のテーマというより桐生怒りのテーマって印象が強い

If Streets of Rage got another, better remake, this should be Mr. X's theme His design (and face) would probably look pretty good RGG-style

外道がラスボスってのもアリだとは思う。ただもう少し外道要素を入れてもよかったような気がする

厳見造船代表取締役社長…

7と8のラスボス見ると 肩書き無しで 「巌見恒雄」だけのほうが良かったのかもって思った

You were so sure of your own power that you never imagined anyone in the universe could bring you down. Especially a Suske. Now you know what failure is like. You see, I don't need to keep fighting you anymore because I already won. So go crawl off some place and hide. I don't really care.

あんだけ菅井と巌見こ○す気満々だったのに…染谷3戦目前にヘリ撃墜したあとの桐生ちゃんの意味深な表情も、その覚悟の表れだと思ってたのに、結局菅井は自殺でぼっちゃんは刑務所かい… 一応あのラストなら仲間を守るためならこ○しも厭わない=自分自身も例外ではないって解釈はできるけどあんだけフラグたてといてそりゃないぜ 巌見をラスボスにするんなら桐生が2人ともブチころがして仲間を守り自分も死ぬ…みたいな展開が良かった

ほんとBGMだけは格好いいのな

@@yuudai831 2つの巨大極道組織を支配し、広島を牛耳る世界的大企業の社長。さらに大道寺シンパを通じて政界の中枢を抱き込む予定だったし、すでに警察上層部を意のままに操ることができる。現実にいう既得権益の岩盤そのもので、東京都知事のような地方行政にはどうしようもない存在なんだよなあ。肩書きは社長でしかないけど、事実上の権力が集約されすぎてる

​​@@user-wr4ou9ri7r総理大臣がボスなのは良いかも。龍が如くの世界で暴対法がなくなる理由とかにもなりそう。政治のトップがヤクザに負けて、ヤクザ以前にラスボスを支えている、倒さないといけない反社会組織を国民が知った上で必要悪としてのヤクザがいるっていう意見が増えるという感じ。
