Feeling like you’re doing more work with traditional putters is the truest way to describe the difference putting with the LAB golf putter. It’s so smooth and just feels almost effortless.

That was one of the best putting drills I've ever seen!

Finally a putter review where people actually hit putts....and we can hear the noice it makes and see how the putter flows. Other putter reviewers should take note haha - you can putt and talk at the same time!

Been gaming a LAB DF2.1 putter for the last year(ish). It's not hyperbole when I say this is the best putter I've ever had in the bag. Every round gets better and better and better. My worst round so far has been as good as my best round with my previous putter. It takes some time to get used to the set up, no question. But, as you said in the video, when you just shut off all the "thinking" over the ball and trust the technology it's amazing how well it works. My last round I had 26 putts (my lowest in a round ever)!! It ain't pretty but it just works.

Really interested in this putter. Thanks for the info and opinions. I've been an arm lock guy for a few years now, but with this, maybe not.

Good exercise to try on distance control

Jackson would like it even more if he got one fitted to his specs so he could have his hands where he wants them when he has his eyes set where he wants them. Just by what he was describing he would have a much more upright lie angle. But he did pretty well with someone else's spec. And he wants alignment aid #27 or #28.

Still like it. Not gaming it on a regular basis. But I think the concept is valid and the putter works. It's a little too heavy for my preference.

You need nerves to putt, that are refined with practice and years of playing on the course and in tournaments. You need calibrated nerves to know precise distance control and put forward spin on the putt. Putting on the course has many more variables than putting on an indoor mat. So, the best putter is the one that gives the most precise feedback, so you can train your nerves. This can only be built with years of practice and experience of playing in different conditions. I tried all the lab putters and couldn't replicate that feel and the face closure through impact that the classic Anser 2 shape provides. If you are putting on grainy greens, you need to be able to put forward spin on the ball, so that it's not affected by the random bumps. For me, having played the game for over 20 years, and competitively, I found the lab putters to be not to up to par. Best putter for me is the Ping PLD.

Hello, very nice review. I own one of these Directed Force putters. I’m having a small issue of where to place the ball in my stance. The roll off these putters is really true and end over end.

Ball placement forward. Closer to left heel.

Ball should be right under your dominant eye. Try Different ball placement within 1 to 1.5 inch left or right from there,no more. Took a 2 hours putting lesson last week and it helped me alot.

Go to their website and they show how to get fit for lie angle. You send them a video and they can tell you what you need. Probably not a good surprise gift. If you spend this kinda coin, you’ll want to get him fit. Good luck. labgolf.com/

Please DON'T try to surprise him with an actual L.A.B. Golf putter. Put a gift certificate in a long box and wrap it up to give to him. These putters MUST be fitted to the user, otherwise much of the advantage can be wasted. The remote fitting video works GREAT (directions on their website). Their most commonly ordered spec is 34" length, and 69 degree lie angle, so if your hubby is standard size that would be the best default. But I BEG YOU, don't do it that way. Get him fit, he'll be much happier for much longer.

Do you really think an odd shaped putter will make you a better putter. Two of the best putters in golf history are Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods. They had to be brilliant putters to win more majors than anyone in golf history. You will see that they kept the same fairly ordinary putter all their careers. The big difference is that they knew the only way you will ever improve at putting is PRACTICE. Do that long enough with an old walking stick and you will be good. I have a shed load of wonder putters all soon available on e-bay, no reasonable offer refused.

YES, this odd shaped putter will make you a better putter because it stays square to your line without torque interfering. Now, if you have THOUSANDS of hours that you can practice with the old walking stick (or any other putter) then you too will learn to overcome the torque inherent in the design and will be able to putt effectively. Put the putters in the revealer, it tells all.

@@colinc.8742 The entire PGA tour will NEVER use one putter. Some are paid BIG $ to play a certain brand, and they aren't going to change, even if you handed them a magic wand. Those who are having problems with their putting and don't have a putter deal may in fact give it a try, and some have done so. L.A.B. Golf putters are getting play on other tours around the world. Also, if you put yourself in the shoes of the PGA Pros who have invested SEVERAL THOUSAND hours of practice with a particular putter, they have figured out how to make whatever manipulation to overcome the torque inherent in that club -- they are likely to NEVER change either. For those who can't invest THOUSANDS OF HOURS of practice, then using a putter that stays square to your line by itself, WILL improve your putting.
