You probably would want to give a serious consideration to react to an upcoming rising Filipina vocalist who is putting on notice all the top vocalist in the Philippines this year with her arrival on the scene. Her name is GIGI DE LANA. Everyone is jumping on the bandwagon on KZread by reacting to her epic cover of Chaka Khan's "Through the Fire". I can use many adjective praises to describe that performance but they call can be summed up in one word "classy". Her delivery, her choices, her range, her dynamics, her body language, her tone and feel are simply magical. David Foster (songwriter and producer of Chaka's "Through the Fire" probably would have his jaw dropped he watched this performance. Best 5 minutes KZread time you'll probably ever spent.....I kid you not.

You're a great reactor mam, you really know what you're talking about this cover of KZ and her 'band'!

KZ asked that same guitarist to fly to China for a last minute change of song for her Singer 2018 performance. They did 'Say Something' and it was one of my favorites from her on that show. Macoy Portado is KZ's (and other artists') go-to session guitarist. They spent a lot of time creating great music together that he already know KZ The Performer so well.

You have to watch her dancing whole singing this! The Singer competition version.

This is why we need vocal coaches to watch these videos… I never would’ve known that when she was using at the beginning it was called a “vocoder”, or that that’s lower section in the middle was called a “swing feel”. Thank you for educating us.

Love her talent and creative skill and love this reaction. She has such amazing control and her musicality and where she took this is mesmerizing. So cool! I'm not normally one to love the synthesized voice, but sometimes it is just just right and ... it works here as a super-interesting intro to a super-fun rendition. That guitarist, too! And drummer. Thank you for pointing out the talent of those who work with the singers you react to. It is not something everyone does, and I love it that you notice, and give credit, where credit is due. Also, as a total aside - love the color of this top and how it complements your eyes.

There's no doubt that the sound tech(s) and electronics on the Wish Bus rivals or beats Nashville's Music Row. Of course KZ is world class. Who can talk(rap) as fast as KZ? This was truly amazing. And Christie's analysis is always fantastic. Thanks for this reacction!

In The Singer 2018 show, she used a full band with a different twist. Worth watching it too and see what do you prefer. I prefer this one in the Wishbus.

As much as I love this version and everything from The Wish Bus, you MUST, MUST check out her Singer 2018 version of this song. When KZ is off that chair, it's like "unleashing" a lion! The Singer version is also different, with a more "elevated" feel as KZ was "feeling" it and added alot of improvisation. Another brilliant reaction coach!

Have you reacted to my first intro to this artist on her "Hidden Talent" cover of Close To You? If not. give a listen to the original, then try KZ's. I think you'll like it.

The version she sang on the "Singer" shows off her performance level, which was in that instance, OFF THE CHARTS. That performance on the Singer earned her the top marks for that week, and was possibly one of the performances I've ever seen. This performance on the Wish Bus is super impressive, and very different from the other performance, and yet both are top shelf!

In one interview of KZ ( it was useless to give you a link because the conversation was in Tagalog ) She did not specify what kind of effects she used only she said she used vocal effects or auto tune. She added that she used auto tune only on the intro and nothing after that. Only reverb after the intro. 💛✌️

I am not too crazy about her as much as I love Morisette and Gigi but I have a softer spot for another Pinoy singer who is more laid back like a Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell style of singing, and acoustic guitar playing like a Neil Diamond style. Her name is Keiko Necesario and all she does is originals mostly in English and she does have a few covers, she and Moria Dela Torre often time got together and played live for their fans locally. for me, her use of the autotune does not indicate anything negative in her vocal tone and skills. I think KZ used this to prepare the audience for a creative arrangement of the song, a major departure from the original to a rhythmic beat, spiced by tagalog rap, a concert-like performance that had her entire audience blown away.

Christi, KZ has this ability to command an audience & stage so well, she conveys so much energy & confidence along with "Attitude" which is exciting. Her unpredictability keeps me 'on my toes' wondering what she's going to do next. The Wish Bus is not the best version of tjis song. The live version from Singer 2018 shows her true artistry and stage presence.

i still liked this version better because it sounds cleaner. the production in that show wasn't as great but yeah it was awesome regardless.

Pretty good but kind of gimmicky.

Rap is in Tagalog. For me, this performance is inferior if compared to her rendition of the same song in China accompanied by a full orchestra. She is fantastic though, even in the wishbus version

Rolling in the deep version of kz at singer 2018 is better than this….because its live and its also different arrangement

I don't like it, to pretentious to my taste.
