Totally agree! He can take any song and just turn it up to 10! The 80's Power Ballads were amazing anyway but Tommy is making them all just better! I didn't even know that was possible! He is legend!!!

I can't rave enough about Tommy singing Abbas the winner takes it all. The song is so amazingly original but when Tommy does it, it's extraordinary

Hi Christi! Team Tommy from AZ here! Your cute little puppy popped his head up when you went over to the piano and kept us entertained! Majestica songs..."Above the Sky" official video and I do love "The Joy of Christmas" but it's a little more laid back with fewer over the top vocals than some of his others. I would definitely recommend "Ave Maria" and "The Light" when you get back around to Tommy alone again! Thanks for supporting Tommy, he deserves it! ❤

I totally agree with that. Above the sky is such a fun, jovial, and amazing song. I beleive the video is shot in his hometown Boden in the upper north of Sweden. I lived there for 6 years. That song let's all the members shine in their brilliance!

I played a live concert (guitar) in 2007, and a young Tommy was in the audience. Already back then, he was phenomenal on guitar and other instruments - but I never thought he would be such an awesome singer!

You got the same smile of wonder that we all got when hearing and seeing this for the first time ☺🤗

Okay... I'm slightly envious and absolutely inspired at the same time. This is one of the most incredible things I've heard the male voice do ever. I love the quality of his voice in those high registers and the disbelief increases every time I listen to the section after the key change. Christi I'm glad you reacted to this, sad I missed the live, love your outfit. Cool incense effect on the right as well, never noticed it before .

You should react to his cover of Carry on originally performed by Ambra. It will give you a sample of his instrumental abilities as well as his voice. On a side note: He has officially left Sabaton to make room for his personal path. Meaning more time for both Majestica and his KZread channel!

The first time I heard Tommy Johansson was singing "Rise Again" with Symphony of Tragedy, a project that sadly ended in 2020. Until then I only knew him as one of the guitarists of Sabaton. That led me to Majestica. Once he is finished with his commitments to Sabaton I assume he will be involved with Majestica again.

Tommy is great, like others has said, Above the sky is a great first song, another one is his cover of The light by Majestica, 20 years celebration, a song he wrote when he was 14-15 years old and make a rebirth to it last year. Tommy loves music and that’s what shows in his covers, Music is one great cover and to see the more funny side, Nu grönskar det, a Swedish song for welcoming the summer based upon music by Bach. I could go on and on about great covers he has done, but also with his band Majestica, A Christmas Carol is great for Christmas time. Will try to join you next Saturday. 🎸🥳

He is not only an exceptional singer, he is also an absolute exceptional instrumentalist; I have rarely heard a better one on the guitar. He has announced that he is leaving the band Sabaton to devote himself to his solo career, it will be exciting to see!

I'm so glad that you reacted to this cover by Tommy. This song is actually on my "overexposed/overplayed" list, but Tommy brought it back to life for me. I have to say that's something I love about covers; the right artist can 'redeem' a song for you that has become stale. I only found Tommy because of his cover of Winner Takes It All, one of my all-time favorite songs that I never tire of. Tommy is the first artist since Home Free that has brought so much joy and new musical interest to my life. If you want to hear his low end, listen to his cover of Sound of Silence; an emotional performance dedicated to a friend who died young. It's hard to go wrong with anything he's done.

Then you haven't heard Tommy Johansson sing Phantom of Opera, there he goes even higher, then when he sings She's gone, you no longer listen to the original. Tommy sings a Christmas song where he imitates various artists including Merry Carry.

He is not just a guitarist and a singer, he plays bunch of other instruments as well, piano, drums, some said somewhere violin, etc true multitalented instrumentalist, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he has an absolute pitch, and ofc plus hard work!

Above the Sky with Majestica is really good. The ReinXeed song (Majestica’s former name) The Light he did a 20 year celebration to that song on his channel. Any song on Majestica’s A Christmas Carol album but the Joy of Christmas is so beautiful and Ghost of Marley is a really good song with a great video and you will also hear Chris David in that, he also has a great voice. Tommy’s favourite on it is Ghost of Christmas to Come (if I remember it correctly). And when we talk about Chris and Tommy together check out Murderer in the Skies on Tommy’s channel. And for Tommy’s more tender voice A Sound of Silence, The Price and There is No Easy Way Out. I think those 3 are my favourites together with O Helga Natt. Ave Maria is also stunning.

Your eyes, when watching Tommy, remind me of the Northern Lights. They are beautiful; do they reflect the light from the Universe?

In the area .. that’s why I like the kareoke ones the most I’ve never had that happen to me when I’ve been at kareoke in Falun (( for some reason the paper towel over the mic in “ stand I ljus” does not screen “ technology) ( granted I have not been to the exact place that Tommy’s at in these videos)) .. I’m pretty convinced that there is no such thing happening at that kareoke bar ☺️

What do you mean by that? A karaoke singer just sings in my world. Tommy arrange and plays the music as well. Some as instruments and some as VST (depending on time and room for instruments in the studio as I get it from his explanation).
