Nick Wright, Chris Broussard and Kevin Wildes react to Kyrie Irving’s left handed hook shot at the buzzer to lift the Dallas Mavericks past the Denver Nuggets. Postgame Milwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard tweeted: “Kyrie the most skilled ever.” Which prompted the FTF crew to decide if Kyrie is the most skilled ever.

I used to rate Broussard but my guy fell off. Kyrie's been making left handed floaters from the free throw line since his cleveland days. He literally has a stretch in game 3 of the finals against golden state where he makes like 2 or 3 impossible floaters on like 3 defenders, hes been doing this. His opinion is invalidated right when he compared Nash to Kyrie in terms of SKILL. It's not even close.

It's debatable. Kyrie has more creativity for sure. But if you evaluate skill in specific areas there aren't many that Kyrie is clearly more skilled at. I will give him ball handling but it's a tiny edge. Kyrie has a deeper bag. Let's say it takes 10 moves for you to be unguardable against an average defender at the rim. Steph might have 25, but Kyrie makes you feel like he has 100. But at the end of the day both are unguardable. On the other hand Steph is a clearly better off the dribble 3 point shooter and playmaker. At first I felt like Kyrie and Kobe are the most skilled ever but thinking again there are other players on that level.

@TheElsMan I agree, it's an interesting topic for discussion, the thing that kepts coming to mind for me was hearing kobe talk about learning where officials would stand so he knew what they could see and more importantly what they wouldn't see and playing against guys in the summer to learn they're tendencies for potential playoffs match ups and to me all that homework definitely forms some kind of skill, not to mention the physical skills to go around screens and gets steals etc., I think it's just good food for thought. Also do you think playing great defense, team of individually, in today's game take more skill then in the past because you have to be less physical and a bit more crafty so is a defender like Holiday more "skilled" then a great defender from the past? And I'm not trying to say that he is or isn't, just more food for thought 🤔

@jmoney4220 i totally agree, that why for me, I would have to knock Kyrie's "skill" because of a lack of defense, which still makes him great, just maybe not the most skilled player ever
Kyrie is by far the best skilled player. Putting Nash and CP3 in that conversation is insulting to his greatness
10:42 They got healthy and added Gafford and Washington since those 2 games. It’s a different team.
Wildes has convinced me to put my entire bonus on the Nuggets. Its literally free money.
I’m gonna need the DISRESPECT 4 A.I….2 stop NOW!!! NO mention as a top 5 in finishin…SERIOUSLY?!?!?

Nope. Better than Gilbert Arenas, sure 42% vs 36% at the rim. AI Got a lot more shots in. Ran away from and past a lot of guys, and because of his toughness and determination, kept doing that, and we loved him for it, and have not forgotten. There is no disrespect. But skills are something you dont have, and then acquire. AI didn't even lift, bro. Game over and he's off to the club. Offseason, no games, so more clubbing. You don't need to work on your stepback when nobody can stay in front of you., and AI did not.

Kyrie Irving has the most assortment of moves that anyone in the NBA right now PERIOD. The league is lucky he is not 6'6 . He can do it all 3pt, midrange, floater, banks with both hands, post up, finish at the basket with both hands and the best handles in NBA history. Broussard talking about he in the conversation WHAT??? Kyrie is the conversation. YOU CRAZY AF if you think Steph is more skilled than Kyrie you sound stupid AF NO WAY. Steve Nash and Isiah would get cooked. Yall ride Steph so much he cant do everything Kyrie can do not been close
Don't know why, but I get a kick out of it every time Brou says "Kyrie"
Nick trying to give lebron some credit
I think I'd put Steph over Kyrie in terms of skill: Steph's ball handling is underrated. It's not Kyrie but it's far from bad. The shooting gap is huge. The passing gap is huge. Steph is a better defender, his finishing is as good, and he knows how to do more off the ball.

Kyrie is a better defender bye far than Steph but that has nothing to do with skill. Kyrie’s a better mid range shooter and a way better ball handler and is a better passer. Number of assists doesn’t measure your ability to pass. Lebron is an average passer and is 4th all time in assists

One of the most iconic championship game winners ever is Kyrie over Steph.
Kyrie is the most skilled ... he's an artist....a wizard..... the aesthetics are top notch. But Basketball is..a TEAM sport...
Think these guys lost what ballers mean by "skill". They mean flash, both hands, handles, finishing, shooting. It means how deep their bag is now about how good they are overall as a player.
Kyrie’s legend is uncle drew
Offensively, Kobe and Kyrie are the most skilled players ever in any order. It means having a complete repertoire. Passing isn't generally included when talking about it. It's like having a "bag." Steph has more impact to winning but there's literally nothing Steph can do that Kyrie can't do. But Kyrie can do it all.

Only 2 way players should be in this discussion. Offense is 1/2 of the game. There’s skill sets for defense too
Skilled, Kyrie is number 1. Not just the best ball handling ever, not just the elite 3-point shooting, not just one of the best best FT shooters ever, not just one of the best the mid-range games ever, not just the greatest under the basket finishing with both hands, not just the tough shot making ability, but arguably the best post up and fadeaway game in the league as well. No one is doing all that at his level. Add to it good passing and cultural influence outside the sport, he is truly an iconic player for the ages.
Bro can yall please actually watch these games and not the highlights ? Both shots that they tied and won the game with were actions off the screen off ball . It was not just iso
He said they practice that in practice so yes that was the shot he planned. If there was more room to get it to Luka for the layup that was probably an option up to Kai.
70K views and majority dislikes......... Great Takes guys.
Even Kyrie doesn't know all the stuff in his bag. It's deeper than the Mariana trench....
Feels like Brou is forgetting we have bigs that we feed, now. Mavs aren't playing like they EVER had in past 3-4yrs because their going away from the three-game and stepping up D
Don't think anybody saw Magic's sky-hook coming either til he broke it out in his MVP game playing at center in place of Kareem... a lefty hook is deep in the skill bag...props to Kyrie!
The reason no one's beating Denver in a series is you give Jokic enough games to win and he'll completely figure you out
Skills go beyond you touch but Kyrie is definitely in that conversation!
Jeanie Buss is the best ball handler in the NBA
In the playoffs momentum is key. If a team gets hot in april it can carry them a long way. I like that the mavs still fly under the radar. Broussard and Wildes not realizing that since the trade deadline Mavs play a different style of basketball. They bullied the Nuggets under the basket. They had 21 offensive rebounds. The game wasn't stolen, it was taken with their hustle and efford.
Dang, Chris didn't even mention my guy Stockton's name even though he still has the all time career assists and steals.
Mavs also haven't had a consistent regular season. While they may not have played down to their seeding they also weren't a high seed to begin with. We've seen the ceiling with Luka and the Mavs and it's Western Finals. Feels like Luka will need to seek another home in 3 years.
The terms skill, does it comprise handles, passing and shooting, or just handles?
It’s not a discussion when it comes to Kyrie. It’s not really even close
The fact that Dallas has two guys that can make the most ridiculous shots makes them a wild card against any team in the playoffs
I thought that Kyrie was shooting left handed was common knowledge
White guy with the suit next to Chris the biggest Kai hater 😂😂
The nba players can say kyrie is the most skilled Eva but instead they disagree with the nba players 😂like literally this makes no sense
Glad Brou shouted out CP3
Chris Steph averaged 8 assist in 2014 😂😂😂 and hasn’t been close since . His assist be the same as Kyries
Assists don't necessarily tell how great a passer you are... You can make the perfect pass and if the guy doesn't make the shot then no assist
That exact left handed floater was killing the warriors the year they came back down from 1-3. That’s one of his moves.
Broussard is nutz. I love Zeke like an uncle but he's no where near Kyrie in terms of skill
i hate when people talk about kyrie and don't realise how versatile of a scorer he is. This man is way more versatile and skilled then steph is, because he has such a complete mid range game and post game, finishing bag, ball handling you name it. the only 2 things i will give steph is 3 point shooting and passing. Every other name mentioned in this video when comparing kyrie i will not bother as that's just disrespect.
I think of Sméagol from lords of the rings and the other guy from the movie 300 that would do anything to ascend when I see nick wright
