Idk why people shit on this character so much, he's literally one of the best things about this trilogy. (Edit 2024: lol, I really don’t like the sequels but I stand by it. One of the few things I kinda liked-or basically the only thing-was Kylo.)

If he didn't throw so many tantrums and lose to someone who never held a lightsaber I'd take him a little more seriously. With that said his character in the first 10 minutes of "The Force Awakens" was a masterpiece I just wish they kept that same tone with him throughout.

He’s basically a mix between two archetypes: the Shadow and Trickster. The Shadow is an archetype that’s based on the part of the human psyche that we keep repressed and represents our animalistic/darkest urges. Darth Vader was the personification of this archetype as well. The Trickster Archetype is the one where the character goes from having one face and then transforming into a different person (think Iago from Othello). Usually this person is evil but puts on a nice face but Kylo is kind of the reverse of that where he puts on an evil face but is actually a flawed/scared human in search of connection. Which how can someone not relate to wanting to feel accepted and forming a connection?

I really think Kylo is the new chosen one. The huge moment was when he asked Rey to join him and become something other than the Sith and other than the Jedi. Balance. Like a grey Jedi. He said he’d finish what his grandfather started....maybe there’s more to that than he thinks.

Simón Herize he carried the entire sequel trilogy and stole the show from Rey . If they wasn’t so focused on making Rey the protagonist they could’ve told there story better

The fact that Kylo killed Han Solo to prove himself to Snoke, just like everything he does for Snoke, and the first thing that he does is scold him for feeling bad about it. What Kylo thought would end his conflict only made it worse.

This is good, thanks for creating this. I like it a lot. His character is just kinda sad to me, feels abandoned by his parents, almost killed by his uncle, seduced by stranger, and even until the end of his life, he don't know who he is, and what his life meant to be. It's so sad, but what enraged me the most is just that disney put that reylo shit instead of a meaningful last words from him, like how much he regret what he's done like Vader, or etc. Damn. They butchered his redemption.

That was amazing! I’m such a huge Kylo Ren fan.

Oh my God this edit is really beautiful. It pretty much sums up the complexity of Ben Solo/Kylo Ren as a character. His back story, his beliefs to a cause, his regret and inner conflict are what makes him human and so relatable. And just like Darth Vader is central to the original dan prequel series, I can tell Kylo Ren is central to this trilogy as well. Adam driver did an excellent job on the last two sequels. He is very expressive and spot on in how he conveys Ben's emotions. His micro expression and timing is just superb. I just wish the prequel with the fall of Anakin Skywalker could have been portrayed in a more deeper way when it comes to his inner conflict.

Kylo is fr my spirit animal. I be telling people to let the past die for years. It can be exhausting knowing what could be.

Adam Driver's performance in the sequel trilogy is SO underrated. Kylo Ren wasn't even written half as well as he could have been and he's STILL an extremely compelling character. As compelling as any prequel or even OT era characters in my humble opinion. Easily the best character in the sequel trilogy by far. Also this video is great, very well done!

In Episode 7 und teilweise 8 war er echt gut rübergebracht, aber was dann in Episode 9 passiert ist, ist einfach nur lächerlich und man merkt, dass JJ keinen Plan hatte, was er mit ihm machen sollte.
