Several people have commented that the background music is too loud in some parts, making it difficult to hear the dialogue, so I decided to rewatch the video today (I haven't watched it since the day that I uploaded it) and I agree. I should have reduced the music volume more than I did in some parts. I appreciate the feedback and I will try not to make the same mistake in future videos. To everyone who enjoyed the video even with its faults . . . Thank You 😊

I always thought when Brienne cut herself off from saying "I'm not a lady" for the 1000th time, she was just being polite to Podrick.... But maybe there's a deeper meaning. Maybe she's beginning to realize she can be a Lady AND a warrior. Fitting with the theme of the video, basically the rules that defined a "lady" were wrong.

Oh, the scene with Arya and her father. "You will marry a high lord and rule his castle. Your sons shall be knights and lords" - now I think she may even marry. Then she might have five *daughters* who would grow up to be badass warriors like her. Arya broke the stereotypes and now they´re beyond repair. She can be all that her father wanted her to be - rule a castle, marry a lord - and she won´t have to change to do it.

tmowring as "cool" as it is for Arya to be this good at fighting, it makes zero sense. She was in Braavos for what? A year and a half? 2 years? That is a pitifully short time to train and become an excellent fighter. Especially since she learned numerous other things such as poisons, hot to change her face, and spent time blind and cleaning dead bodies. This is why it's annoying for Arya to be this good at hand to hand fighting. Jon, Brienne, etc should be able to beat her in a straight fight without much issue.

This was absolutely stunning! All the parallels you used were so great. You've began with that one parallel which these two female characters differentiated at most from the other females in the show. Their love to fight and doesn't want to be ladies. You've captured it so perfect! 0:52-1:05 omg chills everywhere! This parallel was awesome. You're a genius! 1:08-1:10 you just broke my heart with THIS clip to THIS voiceover. Love the part about their swords. I mean they became their swords from the men they love and also the way they gave the names... I never noticed this parallel before. Amazing! Ok and then I had chills and was so stunned from 2:28-3:52. You made this fighting part flawless and so touching. I am speechless! Of course I also loved the ending. Thank you for another masterpiece, hun! Videos like this make this long wait bearable.

No. Its character empowerment done right. Those characters just happen to be female. Whilst these moves are normally done in good faith to promote women and it a good place to start but now i'm not convinced its the best way to promote women we need to go further. Why because it only represents exceptional women can grow to challenge the established male dominated environments. The thing is it shouldn't be just exceptional women, it should be the standard. Basically it shows only exceptional women can equal standard men and exceptionally exceptional women can equal exceptional men. And whilst this is partially true in some specific cases it shouldn't be to the extent it is. I believe their is a need to make the cases of arya and Brienne normal not exceptional. And that means accepting mary sues just as many gary sues are accepted.

My point is what is normality for women in movies (and to i think lesser extent in reality) is far lower than it should and media and culture is to blame. female empowerment would be giving women their rightful equal place in media. mary sue is in concept supposed to be unbiased criticism but in reality that is simply not the truth. Women get far more scrutinized than men do. Star Trek a good example, Captain kirk (in the abrams universe) is almost a parody of a Gary sue but that didn't prevent it being a good movie but on the other hand commander burnam from discovery Is a highly flawed but competent character is called out for being a mary sue. In fact they regularly get called out for being mary sue when by any rigorous analysis the scene where they are making that claim is demonstrating the opposite.

@@gavinkemp7920 What are you even talking about. You should NEVER accept a Mary Sue because they are BAD WRITING and additionally a BAD ROLE MODEL. Gary Sues which are also called Mary Sues generically are also not good and are not typically accepted. Frankly I think its likely you think that Mary Sues could be a good thing because you don't actually understand what the term means. Let me give you an example. Arya and Brienne are NOT Mary Sues but are still exceptional fighters and wield great amounts of power but Rei (Star Wars) IS a Mary Sue. The primary difference? Arya and Brienne are both fully fledged characters who have flaws and development. Rei has no flaws, no weaknesses, and can do everything without training or effort. Which of these is a better role model? Arya and Brienne are both very inspirational characters because they struggle with problems and flaws and manage to overcome them anyways and when they finally 6 seasons later are standing tall and powerful you feel great respect for them since you saw them EARN IT. Meanwhile Rei with no effort, no training, and no character growth is naturally more powerful and skilled than A PERSON WHO WAS THE LIVING EMBODIMENT OF THE FORCE. Her problems basically just solve themselves magically because she bends the rules of the universe to fit her. Arya or Brienna are both strong potential role models and are strong characters written by a master, Rei is a power fantasy written my people who care more for agendas than good writing.

The female viking warrior is a myth perpetuated to push the feminist agenda of egalitarianism. They found a few graves of females that were buried with game pieces and game boards that were thought only to be buried with men. The fact is they don't know exactly why these items were buried with them but don't let little things like the truth get in your way when you're trying to push a political position. I love the way the History Channel even wrote a big article on how DNA PROVES women were warriors. The FACTS are that DNA tests only prove the person in the grave was a female and does NOT prove why these games were buried along side of them. But again we love to twist the truth when we have political propaganda to push.

Shit, I must've watched the Arya vs Brienne loads of times, but I just realised something that I didn't know before and it's because of your awesome editing skills. Brienne asked her 'who taught you that?" (the knife switch during combat) Arya says "no-one". I always thought she was being cryptic, but she wasn't, she was telling her who trained her in the way of the assassins. It was the many-faced man who called himself "no-one". How could I have missed that. Thank you. Valar Dohaeris.
