I have a dear friend in Kyiv and am somewhat relieved to see this video filled with freedom and joy. However I have also seen a lot of other videos showing the opposite of this. I admire the Ukrainian people, after all that they have been through and continue to go through, that the pain and suffering of the war has not completely destroyed the desire to embrace life. Those young men may be the next to be sent to the front lines of war. I have no idea how I would handle living during a war like this since, here in the US, we have no experience with an invasion and subsequent ruthlessness and death that comes with war. If you are judging their joy, or upset about the US helping to defend Ukraine, then I encourage you to also consider how you would choose to live if you were in the same situation. In the US we live in a bubble. What if that bubble were to burst? Life during war is horrible yet these people are living the best that they can. Celebrate that they can be joyful. Be inspired even. Just don’t be bitter….unless you want to trade places with them.

Thanks again Olga for the fun video of Kyiv. Your videos show how resilient the Ukrainian people are. Nightly entertainment helps everyone endure the horrors of war. I recognized many of the places in your video. We had a hotel near Gulliver on one trip to Kyiv. )) Kyiv is a beautiful city at night. And Gulliver is a very cool place. We always go Gulliver when I visit my You Tuber friends---The Family Lapkin. 56 days until I arrive in Ukraine! Hooray!😀 Maybe some day we can meet.👍🤞😎

I see lots of young military aged men on the streets and yet we are told that Ukraine has run out of men? I also see that Kyiv even during the war is more beautiful, clean and high-tech than any American city I’ve seen. It’s sad that American military veterans are homeless and without adequate medical care and yet Kyiv appears to be a thriving metropolis from all the money we have given.

This also shows how different war is today versus the way war used to be conducted. Kyiv was reduced to rubble during WW2, yet today I did not even notice any damage in this video. I do not understand why, with the very existence of Ukraine in question, these guys are not in uniform and armed for war. In WW2 USA any young guy not in uniform would be harassed endlessly. If and when China declares war on my country I would expect all men and many women to enlist. I would be retreaded, I am in good enough shape.
