Many of those busses won’t run unless they have at least 10 people for travel. I experienced this in Chisinau Moldova recently. I waited for the bus to Vinnytsia but i was the only person there so the bus refused to go. I had to hire a crazy taxi driver to drive me to the border and i crossed there on foot. Also there is now a train from Chisinau direct to Kiev.

3:30 The direct night train Vienna to Kyiv takes 24 hours and goes through (and will make you) Hungary. I used to fly directly to L'viv. Of course all flights ended with pukin's war. In 2014 muscovy shot down a Malaysia plane flying over Ukraine and in 2020 of course Iran probably at pukin's order shot down UIA flying back from Iran. I hate that the Ukraine flight crew was forced to fly to/from the land of pukin's Ayatollahs. .

Olga, i did come to Ukraine on July 13th and my best option was from Krakow - where I arrived with a Ryanait flight - to Lviv with a bus. I used two different companies - Flixbus way in, Autolux way out - and so i can confirm this option from Poland. But, despite the relatively short distance from Krakow to Lviv, the transfers lasted really long coz of the border controls. Better to go in - 'just' 7-8 hours - , really worse to come out - more than 12 hours transfer 😱- and i still do not understand why this remarkable difference: coz of company, coz of different passages - Krakovets and Shehyni respectively - or coz of direction to Ukraine or to EU. Ofc, i can suggest the Flixbus option to our readers, but it is even much more expensive (60€ vs 30€ for back transfer). Thanks for your informations, Olga, and a virtual flower from me too. 🌹

Your videos are always so helpful! 🙏🏻 I wanted to mention, many of us in the west are used to rental cars, they exist in Ukraine as well. You need an international driving permit (not difficult to get before you leave) and you can use SIXT or even Kayak, pick it up in Lviv. I go to Odesa where my friends are, it allows freedom to make stops at Chernivtsi (very beautiful like Lviv), etc. the car must remain in Ukraine borders, but it’s another possible option.

I'd take the flixbus. It leaves right from the airport. No changes required. get a reserved seat for a couple dollars extra. Look at the schedules carefully. Sometimes there is a considerable wait between trips(train or bus). And when riding trains spend the extra money and ride 2nd Class or better. The price difference in dollars is well worth it---and it isn't that much. Get an ODD number seat or you'll be riding in a top bunk, even in 2nd Class. Do NOT go 3rd class because it really sucks--trust me.

About money: it depends, i think, if you have to stay in Kyiv or Lviv or Odessa or if you need to stay all around Ukraine. In my eleven days in Lviv and, mostly, in Kyiv, i changed just 100€ and i used them mostly for tips. My cards were accepted almost everywhere, even in the little kiosks for a coffee or for a cold drink. About situation inside Ukraine: ofc even more than for money, it depends from where you want to stay. I did not feel unsafe at all. I got just three/four air alarms but i can say that normal people did not care so much, and the same for me. Just shops, during air alarm, ask you to pay fast what you are buying and then they close temporarily.

Both this year and last year I brought some cash. NEW $100.00 bills. Most places, especially banks, would not accept US currency unless it was new or in "pristine" condition. Same experience with money exchanges in places like airports etc. I have a Chase Sapphire card and the banks charge a 3% fee for getting cash on that card. The bank I use here in kremenchuk doesn't charge any fee for exchanging cash(US dollars, Euros,or Polish Zlotys) The exchange rate for Ukrainian UAH has be pretty steady at just under 37UAH for $1.00. Using your card works easiest imo. BUT...make sure it's a chip card or has the thingy where you just hold the card over the reader. "Swiping" seems out of favor in many places in my experience. I always have Ukrainian UAH in my wallet for some small purchases and taxis that don't take cards.

That is not necessarily true. I came across the border on flixbus mid day on July 6th 2023. Total time at the border was about 90 minutes. Bus left Krakow Airport at 8:20AM arriving in Lviv at 5:35PM---right on the scheduled time. The bus stops several times at gas station/minimarts where you can use the toilet, and get snacks. Credit cards accepted.

@@Olga_Reznikova , you say "for wife, for parents, for relatives, for their own property, to their homes". You are repeating shallow brainwashing propaganda. Reason with me. First, Ukrainian men are prohibited from leaving - so they don't need your video propaganda. Second, foreigners have no property and homes in Ukraine - yet, since Zelensky is selling your country and future to foreign companies and governments. So, the video is not for them either. It's a matter of logic.
