Kwek kwek (Filipino Street Food)
Kwek-kwek is very healthy, scrumptious street food in Philippines made by deep frying boiled quail eggs. after coating with orange marinade made with all purpose flour, corn starch, pepper. Usually eaten with dipping fish sauce. Follow this Kwek Kwek video to make this scrumptious street food in your home for your family.

Today, I'm going to show you how I cook kwek-kwek.
INGREDIENTS:
20 pcs. quail eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 cup water
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1/4 tsp. orange food color or atsuete powder
more cornstarch for coating
PROCEDURE
1. Boil the eggs for about 4 to 5 minutes. Remove from the water and let it cool completely. Peel them and set aside while making the coating.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the all purpose flour, cornstarch, salt and pepper. Add water and food coloring. Mix until well-combined.
3. Prepare for deep-frying. Heat some oil in a deep pan or pot.
4. Toss the peeled quail eggs in cornstarch. Make sure that they are fully coated. Then, dip the eggs in the orange mixture. Coat evenly. Using a spoon, scoop it out of the mixture and put straight to the hot oil. Do the same thing to the other eggs.
5. Deep-fry the coated eggs until crunchy and light brown. Flip if needed to cook evenly. Once cooked, remove from pan and put in a strainer or wire rack to drip excess oil.

Ano po ba ang sea grass?
Maalat ung 1/2 tsp ng salt. Rock salt ginamit ko bawasan nalang and sa description walang baking powder. Wag nyo din ibuhos agad ung 1cup water hindi naging thick ung saken depende siguro sa klase ng flour. Pero so far ito ung nagustuhan kong video in making kwek kwek. Thank you for this video.

You might want to roll the eggs to crack all the shell and it makes it easier to peel it.. :) just a tip.
Everytime I cook kwek2 I use annatto seeds than food color Kasi mas may linamnam at healthy tapos sauce ko either vinegar with onions or gravy
