Kwanmkwala/Kwangkwalang and Esubag Recipe

If your looking for African-inspired fall soups and stews that are flavor-filled and will warm you up during this season, you'll want to try Kwanmkwala and Esubag.
Spicy and bold, Kwanmkwala is a traditional dish from the Bakossi tribe in the land of Mount. Kupe-Mwanenguba and Mt Nlonako in Kupe-Muanenguba Division of Cameroon. Serve it with homemade cocoyam fufu, also known as Esubag, and you'll experience the fullness of this favorable Cameroonian comfort food.

This is one of my favorite food. My mom always makes it for us but I don't know how to make it. I came on KZread searching for it. It wasn't an easy search as I didn't know how to spell the food's name. I decided to try by typing Bakossi soup luckily it shows up. I'm just so happy seeing this. I'm not from Bakossi but I lived among Bakossian so I'm kinda familiar with their dishes. I love eating the soup with mpuh and Esubag.

Waow this is really interesting. I’ve never seen this soup before and it looks so delicious! Just goes to show there are really endless Cameroonian dishes! 25 years on and I’m still discovering new dishes I never knew about. I’m really keen to taste this♥️. I’ll have to make this or trace a restaurant that makes it when I go back home. Thanks for sharing 😍😍
