Kwango is so fortunate to have encountered someone who--while ignorant of the laws at the time--was willing to learn and put the right thing for Kwango first, even surrendering Kwango to the sanctuary for free.

It’s heartbreaking what these primates endure from the poachers. They loose their families and end up being sold at market. Thankfully places like this exist and the primates will end up being rehabilitated and returned to the wild where they truly belong. Thank you to Lola ya Bonobo for all your efforts. ❤️🙏❤️

It is more than good to know that you are there to help these poor babies to grow up and that with lots of love. WOW - you really have a great job.Okay it is a lot of work but a very thankful one. For me Monkeys are the greatest animals followed by dogs. They are so intelligent and little clowns sometimes. I love them soooooo much. Thank you very very much for caring for them.

Not to be pretentious, but they aren't monkeys. They are great apes, like gorilla, chimps orangutan and humans. They share more DNA with humans than chimpanzees do.

Very beautiful. I see a correlation in mind between human infants and young bonobos. Both are pure and joyous examples of life in its purest form, happy and playful, and very eager to socialize. My only caution is to be careful in releasing these fellows into the wild. Having grown up around humans, they will naturally have a lower degree of hesitation upon seeing them, and thus may be in danger of ignoring hunters or traffickers, making themselves easy targets as a result.

You all are amazing people for doing what you do. It's really nice to see you caring for them. I noticed that sometimes they get over excited and start to get rough my question is do they understand when if you yell at them for being bad or misbehaving? It's a very difficult job you all have with so many at once

Terrible tragedy that these beautiful, brilliant near human great apes are in such danger because of poachers for bush meat. Doubly terrible that people are so hungry that they have to rely on that same bush meat. Bonobos are brilliant, and peaceful, unlike chimps and humans.

That little dude who wants the tummy pats is so cute😂😂. It appears that most humans are destructive. Has anyone in these countries ever thought about teaching these people how to raise cattle, pigs, and chicken? Then maybe they wouldn't be eating these kid's mom and pop. They're eating primates because they most likely have no other source of protein. There is also an issue of displacing habitats to grow other crops like palm oil. These governments are not bringing commerce in from other parts of the world to provide more choices. The laws are in place to protect the endangered animals but they're lacking manpower to reinforce them. Bushmeat hunting is a subsistence issue.
