Tombstone and the bestest dvd twinpac ever Silverado/The Quick And The Dead goosebumps every time I watch them. Unforgiven, Rio Lobo, Sons Of Katie Elder, El Dorado, Hateful Eight, original True Grit, either Magnificent 7, and yeah, Mad Max, anything Eastwood spaghetti, best westerns ever, just the first three were perfect movies.

"John was never quite satisfied with the last scene." How!? The Thing has one of THE most perfect endings I've ever seen in a movie. It's so ambiguous and paranoid that people are _still_ arguing about it four decades later. It's godlike.

Because Carpenter didn't want the movie to end on an ambiguous note. That's what Kurt meant when he said John didn't want to bring the movie back to square one but admitted that was the only way the movie could end.

Kurt's Santa is my favorite movie Santa of all time! He had such a young at heart, fun, sometimes stern, but always compassionate vibe about him. Tons of humor and a genuine twinkle in his eye! My favorite scene is when he's in jail with all of the "bad guys" and you knew they were probably all supposed to be on the naughty list but Santa loved them anyway and Kurt played that aspect of Santa brilliantly! I wish they would have given us more of what Kurt had to say about that role because it's my favorite role of his! I'm super glad to see he was so proud of it!

The love and respect Kurt Russell has for John Carpenter is quite heartwarming. They really brought out the best in each other.

Yea he really seems to have remained just about the same guy he has always been. Forever Wyatt Earp for me.

To me, he has always been at his best playing characters under extreme stress. Unlawful Entry, Breakdown and Executive Decision are some of my favorites that highlight that perfectly.

That flick (Breakdown) where they snagged his ole lady in the desert was epic too. And Overboard!!

Yeah. I did not like Once Upon a Time In Hollywood. I found it long and boring. Was not a fan of that one. Watched it once, will not watch it ever again unless I go over to someone's house and they happen to be watching it when I get there. I would not go over there to watch it on purpose. "Lets go create another iconic character. rather than say what can we bleed out of this iconic character" that's a quote that defines the entire movie business now days

Kurt, in one word, is iconic! He really is one of the more down the earth actors. His personality as a person just shines. You can tell how he has real passion as an actor to this day. I was like whoa when I learned that he was in Monarch: Legacy of Monsters and loved to hear him talk about working with his son. I respect the family dynamic and think that is so cool. You can tell Wyatt was raised well being someone truly following in his fathers footsteps. In The Christmas Chronicles he really shined as Santa which those movies are at the top of my list for my favorite Christmas movies. I really loved and totally agreed with his out look about Santa Claus!

Every studio ESPECIALLY DISNEY should watch this cause when he says “let’s not try to bleed off of an iconic character but let’s go create a new one” that really hits hard and true

For such an impressive career, I still think his role of John Ruth in Hateful 8 is by far his best role ever. Just incredible.

The Thing is a nearly perfect movie, and I saw Tombstone the day it came out (XMas Day). I love that he always dodges how much credit he really deserves for Tombstone. He seems very unusually chill and cool for someone who has essentially been in the movies his whole life. Just a super, iconic performer!

Big Trouble in little China is a.classic and the Commentary on the DVD was fun as Kurt was laughing with John though out most of it lol.

Kurt Russell, is the nicest person. I remember helping him at Christmas time with gifts for his family at a high end store in Beverly Hills. Super sweet guy!

He seems like a really down to earth guy

For me, Carpenter and Russell are one of the most iconic Director/Actor pairings in cinema. They collaborated on some of my favourite movies of all time and were such a big presence in my teenage years and early twenties. Huge, huge respect for these guys.

Yep. Similar to Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford - for my money, anyway.

I watched Kurt grow up with Disney movies, and a stint on Gilligan's Island. He played baseball with the Portland Mavericks when his Father, Bing, was the owner. Enjoy watching his career in theatrical movies and watch them all, multiple times every year. You can't go wrong watching anything he has appeared in!!!

Love you Kurt!!!! One of my all time favorite actors he can play ANYTHING.

Captain Ron is straight up underrated.

exactly, was gonna forward this to my wife, b/c he's 1 of her favs and Overboard, my goodness I think she's seen that like 20x and thats really saying something for a woman. They're not like us w/the over and over of most movies. Regardless, that was a fun and really heartwarming vid

I’ve worked with him twice, he’s just a cool, relaxed, straight up great guy.

I'll never understand how The Thing bombed at the box office/reviews, this is one of (if not) the best monster movies of all time.

only because it came out around the same time as E.T. which had way more marketing and without the internet thats really all you had to go by. When you have 2 aliem type movies most non horror lovers are gravitating towards E.T.

If the internet was back then it would have been those movies with like 25% critic score and 100% consumer score. It was a hard movie to rent. It was out or if you got one it was played out and poor quality.

Bad timing.

Kurt played so many memorable characters and was in so many memorable movies it is really hard to believe. One of my favorite actors and a guy deserving of some type of lifetime award as mentioned below,

THANK YOU, KURT!! For ALL the roles you've played...even going back to Dexter Riley in Disney to all the roles to follow, including Christmas Chronicles!! You are truly appreciated!

He omitted that his son Wyatt had previously played the younger version of his own character in Soldier (1998). This is one of the few videos like this that definitely needs a part 2. Kurt Russell is fascinating to listen to, and I'd like to hear him talk about more of his movies.

@@SuperFlawless2010 My point is that this is not the first time this has happened, as he states. Of course, he may be referring to both roles being major, whereas in Soldier, his younger role is a bit part, and it may explain why he overlooked it.

@@LordBaktor It's one of the reasons I want a part 2. He had less than 100 lines of dialog in that movie, and was able to emote amazingly through it. Definitely underrated. And one of my favorites, Overboard, is apparently not iconic to others either.

@@throatwobblermangrove8510 Soldier & Stargate are my favorite movies that were not mentioned. I had no idea his son played his younger self in Soldier. I think it's cool to see them in Monarch together. Soldier & Sisu both had main characters who didn't have a lot of lines. Made a big impact on both movies.

Kurt Russell is such a badass in all of his movies. I was born in 94 and even I watched Big Trouble in Little China, he was BADASS.

Wyatt is awesome in Lodge 49. Really impressed me. And Kurt is a national treasure.

Gotta love Kurt Russell. He’s totally a one of a kind actor with a great sense of humor and has been in numerous, memorable movies. Would like to see a part 2 episode, covering some of his other great films.

I just gained a whole level of admiration for Kurt Russel after watching this. He sounds so humble, and I could listen to his story telling for days.

Listening to his movie commentaries with John Carpenter is a treasure, that's for sure.

Kurt Russell is very much a “jeans and t-shirt” kind of guy…. I’ve never even remotely had the feeling, EVER, that Kurt had the SLIGHTEST degree of vanity, snobbiness, etc. about him. He is a really, REALLY likable guy. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

He is by far one of my favourite actors of all time,definitely in top 5 ,he's such a sincere person

So many iconic roles. Snake Plissken. Wyatt Earp. Captain Ron. Jack Burton. MacReady. And many, many more. He's one of my favorite actors. Like, if I see a movie is starring Kurt Russell, I will watch it without knowing anymore.

Kurt is the GOAT. A great actor, a genuine, down to earth guy, a realist … loved the video!

The list of movies, characters, and actors Kurt has done played in , portrayed... and worked with .... Kurt is an American legend the only Hollywood actor I'd loved to meet.... you rock Kurt!

So many great performances weren't covered in this interview. He deserves a part 2.

This man's legacy is so immense that you could never contain it in a single video.

Russell has always sat firmly in my top three actors of all time. This breakdown has cemented that even more. No controversies, no arrogance, just a guy doing his thing.

The definition of a working actor. He speaks confidently of his accomplishments but recognises he's a tool used in the creation of art, and not art incarnate. Real actors understand they're not the painting, but the brush. They understand the value in that.

@@RMZ1989 I once met him in North Korea and he was very mean. I wanted to take a selfie with him but he took my phone and broke it. And then he started yelling at me in korean like crazy. Never meet your heroes.

I am now watching the movie Breakdown with Kurt Russell as the lead. What a great performence. He should got nominated for an Oscar for his performance in the movie. Such an underrated jam! 👍

Kurt Russell has been in so many iconic and awesome movies. Definitely in my top 5 greatest actors of all time.

Was really wanting to hear about Soldier. Was my one of my favorites

My son loves the chronicles movies. I'm glad they broke that down because its a very underrated movie. It's one of those movies you just watch for christmas time now. Its up there now as a modern classic.

Soldier 1998. One of the most badass roles ever on film. He was perfect.
