I think he meant the acting aspects. I'm sure many of you good lads did a lot of fighting and play fighting as children, I certainly did; and it was generally quite easy to pick your friends and toss them around in a way that would not cause actual damage. Kurt being a great real wrestler already, he was probably well aware of what needed to be done, and would require minimal training to do a move safely. While mistakes do happen in Wrestling, an awful lot of the injuries come from a wrestler being an arsehole and trying to hurt their opponent. Kurt had a good mindset (at least when it came to the profession and his peers) and that, coupled with him having a lot of the technical side figured out, would have made him pretty safe even early on.

I'm in the camp that believes his work should be separated from what he did. There are a bunch of wrestlers who did horrible things that are still beloved for their work, but people get overly sensitive with this situation because a woman and a child were killed. R.I.P to Nancy and Daniel. Yes, what he did was horrible, but Chris Beniot is one of the greatest and one of the most influential wrestlers of his era and I honestly think WWE doesn't show him because they're partially responsible for him snapping. They overworked their top guys, they pushed wrestlers to perform injured, and they noticed months before the incident that Chris was becoming strange, but they did nothing to help. They just assumed he was just grieving Eddie.

This rivalry was a technical wrestling spectacle that was better on reg programming than on PPV tbh

He was a natural from day one. Couldn’t even tell he didn’t have much experience.

Kurt set a ridiculous precedent. I think it's how I sometimes have to taper my expectations with some the people in development. Kurt picked it up fabulously. Man is a legend. Never saw a bad Kurt match. The matches with Chris and Lesnar are some of my favorites. I still remember the angle with Edge that began the You Suck chant..thing is you never sucked. Not even once. Definitely a 🐐.

What Kurt really got lucky with was the push let him work with some of the best workers the company had at the time. Learning by example and learning on the job goes best when you're working with the best.
