Kurdish Dolma Recipe | Stevie and Sazan

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Happy Thanksgiving! Today's Stevie and Sazan video will share one of our favorite Kurdish cuisines that I picked up from my mom - DOLMA! One of my favorite things about my Kurdish side is the yummy food I grew up on. Now that I'm married and learning how to cook meals like my mom, Dolma has been a tasty treat that my husband loves! We call Kurdish dolma 'yaprak' - it is a traditional dish that many of you may have tried at your local Mediterranean restaurant but ours is quite different in flavor. We love loading up on the spices! I hope you will give this dish a try. It will leave your taste buds forever obsessed with this dish. This recipe takes time (in the beginning expect 2-4 hours) but once you get the hang of it you can easily knock it out in less than 2! This is our first video from the kitchen. We thought it would be fun since Thanksgiving is tomorrow!! Hope you enjoy.

I can't believe people are fighting over food! WHO the fuck cares that the name is turkish? It is not a turkish dish, turks don't own it. it is simply a MIDDLE EASTERN dish. It says "kurdish dolma recipe" because I'm guessing it is done differently by each country in middle east, and in this video it is usually how kurdish people do it.

So tired of a certain group of people always arguing about who owns food. No one owns food. Back in the day, before the ignorance of politics A LOT of countries in the middle east that don't like each other right now were happy neighbors back in the day. We all make dolma, all the recipes are slightly different and slightly similar... in the end what matters is... the dolma is always delicious! - Love this dolma loving Armenian girl! haha Will definitely try your Kurdish version one day Sazan dear! :)

She would drop of dolma during christmas and make us this meatballs (forgot the arabic name) and they were so good. I love dolma and this way is different from hers but im definitely gonna make it to remember those good memories.

The word Dolma is Turkish. It means stuffed. It's a middle eastern/Mediterranean dish, Specially in Turkey, Arab countries, the Balkan region, and some Eastern European countries. It's made made differently from one country to another. The most delicious one is the Iraqi style dolma. It's made with lemon juice, pomegranate molasses, and tomato sauce. They also put lamb ribs, and broad beans in the bottom.

Word "Yaprak" is Turkish and so is Dolma. It's a tradtional Turkish food dating back to Ottoman Empire and has nothing to do with Kurds. Even UNESCO acknowledged it as Turkish culture. Stop pushing hard and misinforming people at least give credit and say it's South Eastern variant.
