Stephen Chow (director and star of Shaolin Soccer) is at it again with his newest action-packed and comedic martial-arts adventure, KUNG FU HUSTLE. From wildly imaginative kung fu showdowns to dance sequences featuring tuxedoed mobsters, you've never seen action this outrageous and characters this zany! With jaw-dropping fight sequences by Yuen Wo Ping (famed action choreographer of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and The Matrix), KUNG FU HUSTLE will blow you away! In a town ruled by the Axe Gang, Sing (Stephen Chow) desperately wants to become a member. He stumbles into a slum ruled by eccentric landlords who turn out to be kung fu masters in disguise. Sing's actions eventually cause the Axe Gang and the slumlords to engage in an explosive kung fu battle. Only one side will win and only one hero will emerge as the greatest kung fu master of all.

This movie just gave me absolute inner peace and I love it to this day. Since then I lost 57kg in weight, became an investment manager for a wealth management firm, and travelled to 17 countries for work. Not to mention my first kiddos are twins :D this movie is the only happy childhood memory I have.

I like Stephen chow a lot as an actor and I think he’s a generational actor. However as a filmmaker, he’s far FAR from legendary. He made some pretty good films. Kung fu hustle is probably his best directed film, and shaolin soccer was really nice. There are other films he directed which are pretty decent too, but let’s not forget almost all of those decent films also had himself as the main actor, and that’s a huge part of why those films are good. Since he retired from actor and only took on the role of being a director, the quality of his films dropped drastically. The mermaid film was a disaster, and journey to the west part 2 was no where near as good as part 1. Most of the actors in his films look lost and distracted. He’s a good director, but he didn’t show enough consistency to be call a legendary one

I heard great things about it but it looked a bit silly. As I got older I started enjoying certain stuff more such as obscure fighting games. This belongs in the Dragonball universe. I mean look at the fight scenes. All they need is some ki abilities. All we got was that mess in 2009 even though something like this existed three years beforehand.

They just did the worst possible job with the content, which is great. Which actor do you hire to play a Kung-Fu god, a relatively unknown guy with zero martial arts experience? Sounds like a brilliant idea. Definitely won't look stiff or provide terrible choreography... There were only a very few people in that movie, aside from the stunt crew, who had any martial arts experience. Which just makes Danny Rand look ridiculous as he waves his hands about, not cool or capable. I also really hate the whole "flippy" fighting style the marvel content does so much instead of well choreographed fight scenes. "Do we have a high speed combat scene with multiple exchanges of strikes, grappling, and flashy moves?" "No, let's just have them flip about and occasionally hit someone who is standing still with a flailing foot". Iron fist is perhaps my favourite marvel character, the show was such a disappointment. It's like the creators had never seen a martial arts movie, or even an action movie, and just created this bland show. Hell Tyler Lautner is a trained martial artist, die his hair blond and let's go...

@@AveSicarius Finn Jones isnt unknown tho, he played Loras Tyrell in Game of Thrones. And we cant blame him much cuz from what i heard about Ironfist's production process, they only gave him like 15 minutes of practice before every filming section. So its more because of unbearable tight filming schedule and not because incompetent actor
