    Why just pig though? Chickens are incredibly intelligent too. And cows, they have personalities too. So if you can stop eating one animal, why just stop at one?

    I'm just stating that Chickens and cows are intelligent too with personalities. It's still something that they stopped eating one type of animal. That's better for their health and for the planet and for the animal. I'm not Vegan or vegetarian myself. I cannot afford to be and food pantries don't really cater to vegan foodstuffs.

    I want a pig so badly but where I live isn’t the right environment for them and I’ll be at uni for 4 years and will be living at a flat, but I hope to have one of these beautiful creatures in the future! They love being massaged and brushed, and coconut oil works much better than canola or other cooking oils in nourishing their dry cracked or dandruff skin. I love the two little kune kune pig friends we have as part of our family. They are super smart and playful. Please to all...do not speak how cute animals are and then turn around and eat them.

Using it as stock food, particularly in the same operation is acceptable. Apparently its sold to a local restaurant where it's a bit of a novelty 'cannabis fed pork'.

    These pigs are not KuneKunes...their breed line may have KuneKune in it, but it has been horribly mixed. Anyone who knows anything about the KuneKune breed would know they do not have the type of snout as the ginger/black spotted pig shown at 3:08; also, the black pig shown at the same time is not a pure KuneKune, as they do not have the extended stomach seen in potbellies as this one is showing, and the ears are way off as well. These pigs have not only been mixed with other breeds of pig but also, most definitely inbred. Please do your research first. This video completely misrepresents the true KuneKune breed. If you would like to see true, unmixed, KuneKunes check out the Ohio Valley KuneKunes, they can be found on Facebook as well and are from the state of Ohio in the U.S. This is were I got my pet KuneKune.

    Do you have any sources for any of that? Seems strange that a US breeder would have more ancestral lines than an NZ one.

  • @silvergarcia9897

    @silvergarcia9897

    6 жыл бұрын

    Jesse Fehr you do realize pure bred animals come from selective breeding and not necessarily from inbreeding. One fast dog plus another unrelated fast dog makes a faster dog over several generations and makes a unique breed. At a certain point inbreeding does occur but we are about 200 years past that, and the genetic diversity is still intact.

    Cassandra Purdue she said that that the long snouted pig was half kunekune half captain cooker. I'm guessing they're breeding different lines for different uses, so by mixing in a bit of wild hog (captain cooker) that line will be better for tilling and rooting.

    lol you must have been a star in biology in high school... Plants have nerve nets but no brain, still they can exhibit intelligent behavour without having one anyways... This mean that they can feel pain through their nerves net and there has been a lot of studies that prove that they can even react to music, let alone a "dismemberment". Ohhh and they are alive you know, lol.

  • @thepaganapostate3208

    @thepaganapostate3208

    Plants are alive, silly! But they don't have the other stuff you mention. Animals have feelings, pain, suffer, feel stress, can get depressed, etc. So yes, there is a difference. And people who eat meat (such as myself still) do actually end up eating/causing more plants to be destroyed/eaten than those that don't eat meat. More environmental damage caused by meat-eaters. Which is why I will make it my goal someday to give up meat. Right now, no. But someday in the future.

  • @thepaganapostate3208

    @thepaganapostate3208

    Yes, but plants don't feel or think in the same way as animals. Also, people have to eat SOMETHING, and plants are realistically, far more sustainable and healthier than meat and dairy.
