Kumiko and Vertical Garden Screen

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

My Premier Project Plans: paskmakes.com/premier-project...
My Free Plans: paskmakes.com/free-plans/
This kumiko vertical garden screen project has been a fair amount of work and on top of that I decided to try out a different editing software. I picked up the editing fairly quickly but really struggled with the sound. I got there in the end and made it acceptable but I definitely need to improve on that. The software was Davinci Resolve which I really enjoyed using and even bought the paid version. I've had enough lately of Premiere Pro not responding and being generally poor in performance even though I have decent computer.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the video!
As always I'm happy to answer any questions.

    The first half of the kzread.infoUgkx3ICSK6nSknaL_45CU2NmFSoXjarGMDiJ book is everything about wood: types, tools, finishes, setting up shop etc. The second half is all about doing projects for inside and outside of the home. The color pictures are helpful. After reading a dozen of these types of books, this is probably the best overall (layout, color photos, plans). Only detraction is that many of the projects use a table saw/router/planer, which are usually expensive and take up space, so the plans are less friendly to newcomers and the budget conscious. But I know I can use a drill, circular saw or a jigsaw to make the projects.

    @@psidvicious Why is that? From my perspective it is well sealed, the construction adhesive has a fairly small shear load, it's off the ground, and it's made of plywood which has relatively small movement as far as wood goes.

  • @psidvicious

    @psidvicious

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@zacreed5855 I’m not worried about it falling apart bcz it wasn’t built properly. He assembled it quite nicely in fact. The problem will be that it’s made from non-treated plywood. Water, even from just dew and condensation is going to lay in all those pockets, seep into the plywood layers and rot. All those ‘pockets’ are level areas where water will just sit. The intense sun exposure will break down the sealer surprisingly fast, accelerating the process. I didn’t mean to be hyper-critical. I think it’s a real cool piece of work and as a tradesman myself I can really appreciate the amount of work and thought that went into it. I was just trying to bring a little reality to the life expectancy of a piece like this, exposed to such harsh exterior conditions. Pressure treated material might double my prediction.
