Madhu C Narayanan is such an Brilliant director. I dont know why ppl never talk about his directing brilliance!Blocking & staging in this film was textbook for upcoming young filmmakers.16:38 58:15 1:08:05 1:22:21 1:29:17 - 1:29:57 (and the bar sequence between bobby and his friend)just watch these scene's to know how good is blocking & staging in this film.Also Editing in this film was amazing the J cuts used perfectly, Also cuts between characters conversations were good. Waiting for Madhu's another works!

സിനിമയിൽ ഏറ്റവും മനോഹരമായ തോന്നിയത് സൗബിന് ഷാഹിർ ചെയ്ത കഥാപാത്രം. മനഃശാസ്ത്രജനെ കാണുകയും പിന്നീട് അദ്ദേഹത്തെ കെട്ടി പിടിച്ചു കരയുന്നത് കാണാം... ഒരു പക്ഷെ ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരു അവസ്ഥയുടെ കടന്നു പോയവർക്ക്...ഈ സീന് കാണബോൾ പെട്ടെന്ന് മനസ്സിലാക്കാൻ സാധിക്കുളള.

Soubin Shahir should have won a national award for this performance. Even though Fahad Faasil took most of the limelight, Soubin gave an amazing, controlled and moving performance.

Pradeep bhai, do you know how many states India has and in how many languages films are made? Before you say, a single performance of a guy in one film is good for National award, you should bother to look at at least 300-400 films that are released in a year and see how other actors have performed in other films. Oru National award alle ulloo...ithrakku excited aavan maathramulla abhinamonnum e cinimayil aarum nadathiyittilla. There is a lot of difference between good and better..There is an ocean of difference between better and "the best." The best actor should get National Award😀

​@@himanichaudhry3433 Hi Himani, I am not the jury of the national award committee to check all those films that were released during that year. I'm assuming you might have seen the rest of the 300/400 odd films to suggest this was not good enough. and going by your own statement "how many states India has and in how many languages films are made?" Do you know that the national awards are actually given to singular performances and not multiple actors in one category. With all those states and languages you still get awarded for one best actor or one best supporting actor etc... and what I mentioned was this performance by Soubin was national award worthy.... I thought that was obvious. you might not agree and that's perfectly fine. Even Akshay Kumar has won national award :) not many will agree to that also... Soubin's performance was very subtle and nuanced unlike the loud and over the top characters we get to see regularly in our films and also I did not mention the award should be for male lead.... as this movie does not have one particular lead. it was an ensemble cast but still this performance is worthy of a national award. I don't know which language films you prefer so you might have your own list.... cheers :)

Being a Kannadiga, I just love this movie.... everything is so subtle, the screenplay, acting.. absolutely beautiful.

Kumbalangi Nights had one of the most moving scenes from recent cinema - when Shaji (Soubin Shahir) consults a psychiatrist. Shaji is suffering from depression and asks his younger brother to help him. Soubin portrays the condition beautifully and is able to induce empathy for the character. The movie opens up a conversation about the importance of consulting a mental health professional and gives us a better understanding of depression.

Best ever scene in mollywood 👉1:29:12 അവൾ മാതാവിന്റെ രൂപത്തിൽ ഉണ്ണിയേശുവിനെ പേറി വരികയാണ്. ആ വീട് സ്വർഗ്ഗതുല്യമാക്കാൻ. ❤

I am Marathi and i never thought I will love a malyalam movie so much. The scene when saji brings the baby home still gives me goosebumps.

Recently I watched manjumel boys, Premalu ,kannur squad ,aattam, bramayugam ,Abraham ozler , neru, anweshippin Kandethum and many more cult movies like the great Indian kitchen, premam , Bangalore days, irratta, mahishinte, home, kappela, forensic THIS LIST GOES ON...I loved all of them and i am a huge huge fan of Mammoty sir..I don't know how you come up with such good stories and then the inch perfect execution.. malyalam cinema is pride of India. But I have a complain too.. why man why you don't release in Hindi.. for God sake please release the the movies in Hindi also so that we can enjoy it in theatres and not on OTT...we don't watch Bollywood anymore..only you are our hope..thanks for entertaining us I am your no.1 fan

No offence but, He is just being a normal guy in almost all these scenes nothing special actually, it's just my opinion... frankly only the eldest brother and Fahad fasil had scope for good work in this superbly Directed movie...I, personally totally connected into the movie when they were on screen.

if there is FaFa, Soubhin Shahir, Anna Ben, type starcast is there with the beautiful sights of Gods own country Kerala, this output we can only expect. a feel good movie, many many many love from Bengal, Malayalam movies are just next level😘❤‍🔥🔥

The very conception of ‘regular’ family has been challenged in this movie. Family is where love is shared and it can’t be stereotyped in any way. A group of people who love each other unconditionally is family. It is not something to be taken for granted, but something to be built in each day with open-mindedness and acceptance of differences. I'm not an Indian but I love this film so much. It's raw and the actors were great! I felt like they were born for their characters. I even thought Sreenath Bhasi was really mute in real life I had to search for it! 😅 Hope to see more of this and wishing you all guys to be known internationally.. 🙏🤩

Outstanding Movie in terms of Cinematography, Script, screenplay and acting from the cast. I stopped watching Telugu and Hindi movies after started watching Malayalam. The thing about Malayalam movies is that they don’t screw up the script. They stick to it!

Purely cinematic! Got introduced to malayalam films 3 years ago with this true-blue masterpiece. Back then, i had never watched such a film and still this one is unrivalled (as most of the malayalam films are). One of my all time favourites. Only malayalam cinema can create such a heart-warming film having realistic as well as artistic elements. They captured the beauty of kerala in a surreal way that each and every frame looks like an art. Especially, the frame when shoubin shahir is rowing the boat (bringing her to his home) and "cheratukal" plays in the background. Like WOW. The feeling at that point is truly inexplicable.

Watching all of Shane’s movies after RDX ❤❤ WHAT AN INCREDIBLE PERFORMER AND ACTOR

One of the rarest 'near to perfect' cinema ever produced 💯

I remember 3yrs back when I asked my friends to join me watch this movie together.No one showed interest in watching this as it was just the second day.I went all alone and watched it....damm the experience the performances.Never ever got from any other movie.Just phenomenally exceptional and class apart👌🔥.3 yrs just passed by😁

Man.......one of the best movies I've ever seen in my life. The movie had everything, emotion, drama, and watching this movie at 2024 gave me great nostalgia, I watched this movie at theatre twice and still after 3 years it never fails to give the same feeling as I'm watching this movie for the first time. Highly recommended for people from other states. You should watch this movie once, else you are missing a masterpiece.
