I bought a 2024 Kubota Sidekick RTV-XG850 and I'm impressed and love the smooth ride on the rough ground terrain and gravel roads where I live. It handles very well on steering and has plenty of power for my work duties around my property. Speed wasn't the selling point for me to purchase the Sidekick I got it because of the work load it can do. It's a good vehicle for work and play.

We enjoy our side kick. With a full load of wood the box is a bear to lift but that’s why I have the bx for also. No regrets!

I bought the 850 for my property in 2022. I'm pretty happy with it. It has done everything I've needed it to do. Thanks for another great video.

Very nice, Lucas. The thing that scared me away from the sidekick were the complaints about the jumpy throttle. Apparently it’s very touchy for low speed maneuvers. Did you notice that?

I didn’t, but I will say that I was testing on gravel roads around the dealership so I did t get to do any really serious off-roading. Now that you mention that, I remember being a little jerky backing up so that was because of the throttle being touchy. Probably some truth to that, but also probably something you would learn to control. Thanks for stopping by, Ed!

I know! 🤦‍♂️ I don’t normally, but for whatever reason I was chewing gum that day and once the day was done…well, I got what I got. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Electric for the hunters but watch that you do not run the battery down. Too late when you are way back in the bush. They are nice but I would still go with the gas model. Not to many receptacles on trees back in the bush. Thanks for the test drives Lucas. Good info again.

Get the Kubota. I have the RTV-X1120D it matches up perfect the the BX-23S. I can fill the bed with dirt and the hydraulics has no problem dumping all that the bed will hold. The bucket on the BX23 fits right in the bed of the 1120D. You need one that you can use with the BX23S.

I have the sidekick 850. It’s an ok machine. Very herky jerky and somewhat gutless. Cold hearted machine.

Stay away from the side by side’s from Lowe’s and other box stores. If it breaks down it’s almost impossible to get warranty work done. Went through this with my dad. You get what you pay for 🤢🤢🤮

Learned all I needed to know by driving by our local repair shop. He has a whole row of Massimo, etc sitting there waiting on parts or just not worth repairing. CF Moto would be the only Chinese built brand I would consider - and then only if you have a good local dealer. Most of the Chinese units are also short on HP compared to other makes. A Polaris 570 will have more power than their 850s. Own a Can Am Defender HD8 myself. The power is more than adequate for farm truck duty. It's been a good choice so far. 4 years and no serious issues.
