KTM 790 Duke // A Day Around The Lake District ✊
MY SECOND RIDE OUT ON THE KTM 790 DUKE.
I told you all I would return to ride the 790 Duke when the weather started behaving an low and behold, me and my friend Emma managed to catch a dry day!
In this video there is much more riding done than the last one and I actually got to get a feel for the bike!

...I've been riding all my life since I was 14 (60+ now) and I am just thrilled to see women embracing motorcycling like never before in every country and Kate (and many others) is helping to increase and sustain that - my ADV helmet visor is utterly tipped to you with honor, respect & admiration! Also appreciate you "spanking" the 790 so nicely and sharing it!
Oh those pre-covid rides, when you could just pull off for a coffee and a danish in a nice local coffee shop.
Can't beat ride around the lakes and a good brew!

Those roads in the Lake District are great fun. I've been riding there over the last couple.e of years. Great fun.

I bought a 390 Duke as a commuter so I could save my XSR for weekends. Its superb, light, nimble, fast enough for the motorway and did 300 miles commuting this week, returning 76.8mpg.
Well done Kate, that was good to watch. I thought you handled that Duke quite nicely, lovely area up there too👌

'avin brew Kate? Nice to see you back out on the bike in far better weather. I'm looking forward to riding this bike. As an observation, I'd recommend taking a slightly wider entry line into your corners curving to your right. I know with the dry stone walls you wouldn't want to be too close to them, but a wide in tight out, slow in fast out, mantra will help you maintain the same speeds but with a greater safety margin. Love your 690 btw, very cool. Safe riding!
