Super easy and exactly what I needed. Can't believe how poor the stock display and connectivity is (even after paying for all the upgrades). Thanks for pulling this together for everyone. I used the nicecnc mount.

Thanks for this video mate. It was exactly the setup I was looking for and have just installed it on my 390 exactly like you have and it looks 100% factory. Couldn't be more perfect. You should update the video title to include 390 as well, the procedure is identical.

Nice work! I'm swapping over from the Perfect Squeeze to this system on my 890. I've already mounted the wireless charger on my KTM 350 and also plan to get a couple more mounts for my Tacoma and company truck.

Thank you for the Tipp regarding the Nice CNC Mount. I was able to Order it from Germany for 24€ which is a Great Price! Touratech or KTM wanted to Charge 70€ for their Mount, lol

Very nice. Very nice bike. Personally I keep my phone in an inside chest pocket of my riding jacket. That phone might be my only lifeline in a crash and if I can't get to the bike or the phone exits stage left in a get-off it does me no good. And, yes I've seen it happen more than once. Minor get off, rider OK but their phone is MIA. Keep up the great vids....

Thanks, enjoying the bike. I just keep a InReach in my pocket for emergencies.

@@infosponge Same here. The InReach is far more reliable and dependable than the phone for a lifeline. Both in terms of durability and the ability to achieve a signal in remote areas. Been glad to have the inReach on a couple of occasions. How do you like that NiceCNC GPS mount? I like your setup and was considering the Vanasche Mount. I tend to go with Vanesche for most things, but for the GPS mount, I am not sure there is enough difference?

I have a SPOT unit for emergencies. The NiceCNC mount is just a Chinese copy of the Vanesche.

@infosponge Thanks! I didn't know how the quality was. I have seen reviews that some of the NiceCNC stuff such as the handle bar risers where a bit sloppy with tolerances, but other stuff seems to be fine :)

You missed the bit where you attach the phone unit to the bike. Also this stands forwards quite a bit, have you come across any mounts that don't extend so much? I'm using Quad lock stuff already, so would love to be able to reuse that.

The little cover just comes off with a couple screws and the mount takes its place. I’m not sure if there is a shorter one that gives you the same mounting angle. Part of the reason it extends so much is because of the anti-vibration component. The final location of the phone is just about perfect though.

Did you have cables sitting in the gps mount when you took off the cover? If yes, are these plug and play with the quadlock wireless charging? I suck at electrics😛

There is a 12 volt plug behind the headlight. I installed a usb adapter there and plugged the quad lock cable into it.

It was a fairly time-consuming process. Hopefully it isn’t too fast for you to see the steps. Next time I take it apart, I will make a video just about that.
