KTM 390 Adventure fun
Спорт
My wife has her motorcycle license test booked next week so I thought I best get out for an adventure on the 390 before she takes it over! Straight in to the mud and single track, I was impressed by where this bike could go. Its no 890R or 1290R but there is a lot of fun to be had on the smallest KTM Adventure bike.

Ha ha! My wife and I watched this. I commented to her that this guy was a pretty good rider. Then I noticed who was actually riding. I'm a huge fan and Say no To Slow has improved my off road riding a lot. I'm 74 and own a KTM 390A and recently sold my 690 Enduro r in favor of the new Honda crf300l. Thanks for all you do for the world of motorcycling Chris. When I think of proper form, I think of you.

Why would you go to the crf300l when you have the 390? Is it because of the weight? After seeing this video I was thinking the KTM 390 is the magic unicorn do everything bike. This proves it can be trail ridden!

That’s what riding is all about laughing in your helmet and having fun with your mates, on whatever bike you have.

Thanks Chris, nice to see what this little bike is capable of and it has certainly put this bike into my serious look at bike list.

hey men did you bought it as your first bike ?
I've wanted this bike for awhile now but now that I've seen that it can actually hold its own pretty well off reading...I want one even more now. The KTM 390 Adventure really seems to me to be a PERFECT bike. I'd have so much fun with one if I could ever possibly afford it (I cannot).
This was awesome! More videos with 390 pls
What a fun video! Had me grinning from ear to ear ❤️
Cool :) Inspiring new riders to get out and give it a go :)
Love this video. Its fair enough that he dig the shit out of the adv 390. Not only on the big adv bikes like the 790. Atleast we know that the adv390 can also do it. Thank u Chris.
Great video! I am loving it! Well done!!👍
Great riding on some difficult terrain, KTM 390 ADV Awesome motorcycle, Most people don’t realize how capable this bike is. This is a great Continental Divide Bike, 3 months ago I rode it on the Divide it was awesome. I’m done with heavy motorcycles for off road riding. HAPPY TRAILS from TEXAS

what a fine pilot you are. Great video, I can see you had so much fun riding that little mounster :D
MASTER!!! What a fun video! thanks!
Good and inspiring to see this ...as I own an even smaller 250cc (but equally potent) KTM Adv 250...
Nice to see it can go where a dual sport goes. It would be nice to be on the 390 for that long pavement ride to home.
This was awesome! you make it look so easy
Great fun. Great ride(r)!
Cool video as expected from Chris. Personally I'm waiting for the 490 adventure because I think it'll more capable on the road to the trails.

Jeezzzzz! Some offroading! And all those laughs and screams! Loved it! Talking about capruting the feeling, great job! Going to buy 390 adv in next spring - my very first bike! Subbed for sure!
So much fun!
It's amazing brother 🤘
“It’s the rider, not the bike”... one more time, this bike is more capable and very fun to drive, but far from perfect. Thanks Chris!
Loved your long way for bush coffee video long back . Would love if you would be able to produce a video in similar lines with the 390 adventure. Peace
Awesome 😎
Enjoy the beautiful bike life 👍
Thanks for the video Chris! The 1190R gets a bit heavy to pick up for me sometimes, thinking about getting the 390 for a change as a second bike.

I loved almost every minute of owning my 390 adventure. I think I would still have it now if the local dealer was actually good at taking care of the bike! Went over to a T7 for the backup! I notice the weight though!!!

holy shit! That's the best shit I've ever seen a 390 adv get up to!
Impossible !!! In 1st gear, that thing goes like a tractor! Seeing this was particularly useful to me, considering options. Most media 'reviews' give the impression that cycles can't go over an off-road pebble without meters/yards of suspension travel.

Can you do more videos with adventure 390
Damn.. 🥂
If I wasn’t going to get one I am now, could I do that stuff hell no but it’s nice knowing the bike can lol
I thought it was just me that made all of these 'ooo!..arrr! ...eeeeee!' noises
Wow. I didn't think this would be possible with that bike.
I have upgraded stock 130 section tyre by 150 section in my 390 adv does it affect bike performance any suggestions
Good job! 👍👍 How many pairs of broken wheels ?? 😁
Best advertisement I've ever seen for this bike. Really showcases how capable it is
Quelles sont les pneus sur la moto?

Knarly woo!
The big worry on this bike is whether one will end up bending the alloy rims. OK, Chris, did ya? Because if you didn't, I doubt I ever will on mine, and it will save me from popping for the spokes. (To be clear, I make the same freaking out a wee bit noises when I ride.)
Light weight adv seems to fit bill for heavy bush rides
What tires?
Ciao , bel video complimenti 💯 ti volevo chiedere ma la moto è originale ho hai fatto la mappatura .

This bike is made in India and is a very good machine. Only wish that it had wire spoke wheels instead of those weak alloys.
Can u sustain a wheelie on this
I have the same bike minus the Mitas E09s. Don't get those tires here in Nepal. If I did, does it come with CB"s capabilities preloaded? 😀 1:51 I'd check the bash plate. Stock ones aren't too sturdy.

Tires are not stock
My wife has one and my biggest complaint about it is that the steering hits full lock too soon, and the girth of the wiring harness makes it so that you couldn't turn tighter even if you modified the stops.

Thanks for the content, hope to hear your thoughts on the bike after a few rides. I also think many are wanting the 390cc moto put into a DS frame (WR250R/DRZ400) and at the more affordable end of the market. This would be ideal for those wanting more 50/50, lightweight, but aren't ready to invest in a high-spec Enduro bike yet.

I did an extra good job of cleaning it I promise!
Smaller bike means less weight, the rougher the terrain the more that will be an advantage compared to the larger and more powerfull bikes... There's a reason why mx and enduro use lighter bikes with not that much power. An MXGP 450 might have a bit over 65HP, more power than that is useless. In most cases somewhere around 40HP is more than enough to rip.
0:45 KTM snorkel next on the development list, Chris? 🤿😂
Mr. Birch, why not also consider the KTM690 Enduro R also? Perhaps for a new rider it's a bit much but definitely more capable than 390ADV. Seems the 690 is the black sheep with no place.
I thought the 390 didn't have the rays wheels 🤔

It's almost oddly refreshing to see Chris ride without a production team and cinematic film crew. Just to see a gopro filmed actual ride was enjoyable in a different way.

Im glad you liked the video! Fun fact, the crew for our other videos is one other person. I do the bike prep and the riding, John does all the filming and editing and cooking.
Wonder the wheels were stock alloy or after market spoke wheels. Don't think stock alloys can take that kind of beating.
