KTEH ch 54 Key the metal idol opening

1998 was such a treat. After watching the raw Japanese version of Dragon Ball Z on the International channel, I would then watch shows like Tenchi Muyo Universe and Key The Metal Idol on KTEH ch 54 on their Sunday Science Fiction night block. KTEH would show animes like Robotech,Tenchi Muyo Universe, Urusei Yatsura, Key The Metal Idol, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Dirty Pair Flash, City Hunter, Bubblegum crisis, All Purpose Cat girl Nuku Nuku, Serial Experiements Lain,Please Save my Earth and others. You got quality anime and it was uncensored on regular public broadcast televison! ( at least for people living in the Bay Area..)

The fact that Kenny Lauderdale is calling my defunct PBS affilate a treasure is a good honor!

Yes the anime is kind of dark and depressing but it's good to watch it over again.

This used to be aired on KTEH ch 54, a PBS affilate that was based in San Jose, CA. They used to air anime as part of their "Sunday Science Fiction night". It started from Robotech in 1997 and I think their last airing of anime was a subbed version of Dirty Pair Flash in 2003 although I am not sure.

@@internationalchannel4life270 oh wow! Thanks a lot man! This means a lot. I want to help spread the word about this part of anime history since this block predates even Toonami’s own premieres. Now everyone can experience this with their own eyes!
