Childhood memories from KQED’s Sunday Sci-fi programming. They also played Urusei Yatsura, and a few others……and the old Doctor Who. Which never made any sense to the 12yr old me. So #nostalgic

I love this song.

Key was a both Master piece and Master Class of TRUE story telling with multiple anime genres mixed in and gave birth to this hidden Diamond.

One of my all-time favorite animes from my childhood, thanks for sharing!!! I just started re-watching the anime with my boyfriend since he's never seen it, and the music is always so nostalgic!

People gained a lot of " friends" in Facebook and Twitter? Bullshit, how about be like Key and try to gain 30,000 friends in order to be human, top that!

This makes me wish I could go back to s bygone era more than anything.

I just finished watching this anime. I think it was all right there's some parts I wish didn't happen and some parts of which was a little less elaborated but if nothing else I'm glad I got introduced to the intro music it was what got me hooked on the show in the first place.

AHHH... dude the audio is so perfect!! The low quality audio was literally my only problem with the original version and now it sounds absolutely perfect. Thank you so much for this

Very cool music, reminds me of Sade

The first time I learned about this amine was this Video Plus in my hometown that had it for rent. I only ever got to watch the first two episodes, but damn of this opening hasn't stuck with me the entire time. Thank you. ❤

The english version is just good as the original japanese version. Both capture the dark cyber punk noir atmosphere....you guys remeber 90's cyber punk anime movies? Can we bring back bubblegum crisis and cyber city odedo

@@阿.杰 Previous poster is incorrect. The actual performer of this song is Tania Hancheroff (credited as Tanya Hancheroff), as seen in the opening credits of the English dub. Saffron Henderson (voice of Beniko and Miho) only performed "Night Flower."

the thing about singable english translations - *especially* in the late 90’s, where this dates back to - is that they’re a bitch to write. At the time, these songs were the high water mark for quality. I’d say that they hold up really well, too. Let’s take a look at the Japanese for the full verse, plus a rough translation 好きな人"いる"と言ってた So you say there “is” a person you love そんなウワサを listening As I heard these rumors, listening 打ち消してでももしかして In absolute denial, but perhaps 私かもなんて Nothing All I am is “nothing” Compare to the full English verse: "I've met someone else" you say as you looked away So..now at last I know where you've been Who's this new love 'ed tell me do they love you then Such a fool that I have been Foolish me.... I think the translator and lyricist had a tough time working the original to fit the meter, so the new lines were spawned. It’s probably one of the only weak points in the English version, along with “could be the Key’s a heartbeat away”.
