Smoky me too, but you should always have high goals in life. An Italian man started out as a young ship captain in the early 1970,s. The family owned shipping line he founded is now one of the largest in the world with $28 billion in revenue.

In our case, we would teach the owners how to change their own oil. Then they can decide if they ever want to do it again or...then they are glad to PAY someone to do it each time.

I would never consider a boat with old engine controls that are split between power and direction. The modern single lever controls started appearing about 2006. I really like the electronics layout with a dedicated depth gage. You can get into a lot of trouble on a boat without knowing the depth under your keel. The yacht controller is a must for single person boating. Inside access to the flybridge is very safe. Betsy ! Yanmar engines are very nice. The Krogen has excellent hull form and sips diesel fuel.

Well said. FYI we’ve had clients who had their old controls changed out from four sticks to two electronic. Everything else about the boat was terrific but the shifters were really getting the better of them. Less than $8,000 and that included equipment, labor and...bringing the tech from 6 hours away, putting him up in a hotel and meals. Well worth it in relation to a used boat in the $200,000 range.

Are the marine engines required to run DEF if so how big is the DEF tank on that boat?

nashguy207 not yet. It’s coming soon on boats larger than 65feet. BTW For those newbies watching DEF is Diesel Exhaust Fluid and he is referring to neutralizing toxic exhaust fumes before they are exhausted from the boat.

Is this the same as a Krogen 52... what makes it Express?

This company Krogen Express makes a semi planing hull that is 52 feet. Original design was 49 feet over 15 years ago. They are a separate company from Kadey Krogen which has been a full displacement company of boats 36feet to over 58 feet. Many designs in between. Used to be all one company then they split with one fast (Express) and one slow.

Nice Review! Saying massive, big, and huge is okay, but actual measurements are better.
