Cruisers 4450 docking in Fort Pierce
This boat just came in from Miami and asked for a deckhand to jump aboard and help dock the boat at Fort Pierce City Marina. He did a great job, did not even touch a piling, Learn more about docking with our Training DVDs here,

He did good. I like Fort Pierce. Used to fish out on the jetty quite a lot in years past.
Perfect Landing Indeed! Great Captain 😎
Excellent docking job, thx for providing these insightful videos, Capt. Chris

My Boat and My life thanks for watching. 👍🏼
Nice docking. I’m hoping I’ll be able to back the little Chris Craft almost as well. Just finished changing the bellows, raw water intake hose, seals, o rings, shift cable and water neck on the Penta 290 outdrive. I also greased the u joints, drive shaft at spines and moving parts. I’m getting ready to try out the Duo Props that are supposed to track very well. Engine work next then fuel and supply. I really like your videos and thank you.
I have a 22 Tritoon on the gulf . 175 Suzuki outboard. Igot to say it might be tougher to dock than one of these much bigger crafts. There is no way I could leave my boat that still in the water almost not underpower while I figured stuff out. I'd be blown to Orlando.

Larry Belt big boats are easier to dock than smaller outboards.

@@yourmedicareguylarrybelt7792 I’ll tell her Larry-I’m a single outboard captain too and it’s as tough as it gets.
That dock hand tied off his port line over the top of the bow rail!! No tip for you!!!

That makes you an asshole and no dock hand will ever assist you again. Knowing the demand, don't expect to have a slip next season either!
I didn't know you can ask the marina for a dockhand to jump on board to help dock into the slip. Chris, when is that appropriate to ask?

If you never ask then you never get told yes. Many marina staff may say they are not permitted to come aboard according to marina rules. But we have seen it done on a number of occasions when the helmsman is single handing or inexperienced or conditions are precarious and a deckhand would help.
