    Your videos are so inspiring! I really enjoy seeing what others have made and seeing your quilting! Some very talented sewists! I have a collection of hardback Thimbleberries books from the 1990’s. I made one of the patterns around 1997, I think. It is a king size and I didn’t know how to get it quilted. So I took off a large row of blocks and turned them into valences. Then I turned the “flimsy” into a duvet cover. I know other people don’t do this, but we still have it on our bed. It washes very well, but I do have to press it. I also made large pillow shams and a table topper. It probably looks like a Lynette Jennings bedroom! Great show! You are a lucky lady to have 7 children! I would never have guessed it!

    I’m sure it’s lovely! And better to have used it all these years than to have left it in a closet somewhere. Great choice! I love my big family! And I’m so thrilled that they still want to spend time together with us! I wouldn’t trade it for anything! ❤️

    Thank you for taking time to talk about the quilts and how you decided to quilt them. Always interesting to me. I also learned machine piecing with Lynette Jensen and have many of her books. I just recently noticed a fall quilt that was still hanging and I am sure it is one of her patterns and fabric! 😊

    Good morning! You mentioned "The Last Homely House" which is a KZread channel developed by a quilter who lives in NE England, near the Scottish border. Many of her quilts are sewn for Project Linus, an American charitable organization, also located in England. Project Linus has chapters located in Canada and Australia too, so it is developing as an international organization. I love your channel!

    I made the Fall Foliage quilt and it is waiting to be quilted. Thanks for sharing a great quilting design for it. I am looking for a panto that looks like wind. Thanks. I heard you say you had to load the minky with the selvedges on the side for the fall quilt. How do you typically load minky? I was under the impression you should load it with the selvedges on the sides because it is stretchier from selvedges to selvedges loading this way prevents stretching too tight between the roller I thought. Thank you for your tips.

  • @tammieearnest

    @tammieearnest

    I prefer to load Minky with selvages on the roller bars but with this one I loaded the selvages down the sides. Both worked well. You will have to deal with the stretchiness one way or the other.

    @@tammieearnest thanks! I generally prefer to put selvedges on the rollers, too, but I thought I couldn’t with Minky. Thanks so much for sharing your tips. I appreciate it!
