This is some serious insight. I am praying for that kind of relationship with other saints. I think it is impossible to walk in the light at this level if you don't have people in your life that you have walked with a long time who you know love you. Thank God Kris does... may the rest of us connect to the body in such a healthy way.

How many hyper-religious people have you talked to that say that they KNOW God's Word and know His voice? Yet it's evident that they're dealing with pride and arrogance. It's been two for me just this week. I tried to reach them several times with scripture and a call for them to ask God. Yeah, that's a hard wall to crack. Especially if they have initials behind their names. Sometimes it's the bluntness of a trusted friend or family member that can make that very crack. Just enough to turn our heart to true humilty to seek our Heavenly Father. My two cents.

He explains how the Spirit wisdom will operate to destroy pride & arrogance in particular situations between believers. I know I've been deceived & warned by a trusted loved one, but didn't respond. Much heartache & regret would have been avoided walking in this simple solution. That's some good word

I would never have found you only for looking up what modernism means....everything you say is so logic and understandable and I know where you are coming from. I had a vision of Jesus in my local church I told the priests there they ignored me. He was sad and there was an angel kneeling to one side. I have dreams too visions of the future. When I was a child I used to dream of a warehouse of children screaming and was on fire. I did not understand this until I had the referendum in Ireland where they wanted to bring in abortion. So I was on the streets trying to tell people its going to be crazy and its mind control of people where I see in another dream they will be mind controlled by a source and it is bad. love your videos and I have shared them. well done for being so honest.

I think a little addition I would make to the statement "trust people more than you trust yourself", is to trust "Christ" in that person, more than you trust yourself. But the true test is if what someone tells you, brings you to peace with God......... "But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere."James 3:17

Good scripture to point out brother. Now I don't think the message of mr. Vallotton necessarily contradicts Paul, rather I think Gal 1:8 adds on or brings more nuance to this message. I think the speaker would agree to put it like this: If someone tells you something specific about you or your life that you don't agree is true, then it's possible you are in deception - UNLESS what the person (or angel or voice) tells you is against scripture. Does that make sense?

I started to cry and I left so when I went into my car I saw the devil in the tree in the form of a snakes head. I actually thought I was going crazy but the tree itself has a winding branch but the head of the snake is never there so that was worrying.

Well he got it right when he said that when we're deceived, we won't know it, because that is what deceived means. HOWEVER, Paul told the Galatians:- "8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed." (Gal.1:8) So under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Paul says something very different. Surely Paul would be someone we could trust? Or a Heavenly angel? Apparently not, according to the Bible.

That doesn't even make sense. How does preaching a totally different gospel apply to being humble enough to be corrected? Doesn't iron sharpen iron? Doesn't Matt 18 talk about correcting our brethren with truth? Are you so perfect that you're never prideful and in need of a brother who will love you enough to risk the cost of the relationship to rescue you? John 15:13 - _"Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends."_

The way to stay out of deception is: 1. Read and study the Scriptures so that you can rightly divide the word (that last phrase in is the bible) 2. The Spirit of Truth is the Holy Spirit and He will lead you into ALL TRUTH (that's also in the Bible) 3. Have one or two God Fearing, God obeying friends who know how to righly divide the word and who can discern (Godly Counsel). 4. Have brothers and sisters in Christ around you and allow them to give you feedback on your actions, behaviours, attitudes. Be accountable and be humble. (1 and 2) The word is your foundation coupled with the Spirit to lead and guide you into truth - right living. (3) You tell these people when your spirit discerns evil or deception and they will keep you accountable in your seeking the Lord so you are obliged to follow through what you are picking up in your Spirit, and how is God speaking to you. Here is an example: You sense that the teaching you receive is off, but you do not know why. Then, in your relationship with the Lord, the Holy Spirit unfolds understanding and wisdom so that you can test what you sense and determine if you are hearing from God. That stuff about arrogance and pride and trusting someone to tell you - well that's all well and good, but you should seek feedback from people at work, at home, in the Church, on the sporting field, etc. Humility is the key. Regarding signs and wonders, ask yourself: 1. In the manifestation from God, or another source? 2. Is the manifestation in harmony with Scripture? (All Scripture is given by inspiration from God; God never contradicts himself) Jesus warned us in Mt 24:4, 5 11 24 - us of deception - take a look at these Scriptures and do not treat these warning lightly. These things WILL happen. Deception is the greatest danger in the end times. Signs and wonders do not determine truth; truth is already determined and established (John 17:17; Ps 119:89) We need to have a love for the truth (Thessalonians). There are both true and lying signs and wonders. We need to discern all, but if you do not receive the love of the truth, you will be deceived; God even sends a strong delusion for those who have pleasure in unrighteousness.TEST IT AND EXAMINE IT - DO NOT OPEN YOURSELF UP WITHOUT TESTING THINGS FIRST. (Word) Proverbs 26 - He who trusts in his own heart is a fool. The heart will actively deceive you (Jeremiah 17:9) - Your heart is not deceived - your heart deceives you - The word in Hebrew is active. Don't rely on your own heart to determine truth. Scripture is the measure and source of truth. Finally watch out for mixture - it leads to confusion and division. Don't be passive and don't be neutral. Make sure the word of God is preached in purity and in power and repentance (refreshing is preceded by repentance).

You can't just trust people because false prophets will come from within the church masquerading as servants of righteousness. You don't trust people in order to stay out of deception, you read and memorize scripture and test the spirits against scripture to see if they are true. Notice that this message is not based around any scripture at all; not one Bible verse is used for support. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?(Jer 17:9) Imagine what Job would have done if he would have listened to his friends.

  • @hazelmay64

He never said to just trust people. Actually, he said that he only trusts a few people to speak into his life. You can't j ust be an island and have no one to trust. That is a deception in itself because God's word is very clear that if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we will have fellowship with one another. He wasn't talking about some stranger coming up to him and speaking this to him. He was talking about his best friend of 25 years. Big difference.

May I humbly advise you also consider that this is a 9 minute snippet out of a full teaching session at their Ministry School, and not an entire sermon. Kris did point out that God's Word is the final authority and should be the first place we go to as Christians. The 9 minutes here are expounding upon and illustrating in practicality, not replacing, the message and meaning of God's Word.
