I've always respected the hell out of Kris Kristofferson - a man who I've admired for decades. And when he throws his support to Sinead and stands by her when so many denigrate her - he exemplifies why he's such a good man. RIP Sinead...gone far too soon. I've been a fan of Kris Kristofferson for 50 years and you are right about them. Sinead was a woman ahead of her time. I remember watching her rip the picture of the pope on SNL and I applauded her then... and still do. May she rest in peace.

A real man, a real friend. This made me cry, in a good way. Sinead was too much for this world, I wish her the best wherever she is now. I was 18 and watching Saturday Night Live at my Nana's in Cupertino when she tore up the picture of the pope. If you've never seen her at Bob Dylan's tribute about to sing War and Kris Kristofferson comes up to her at the mic and says, "don't let the bastards get you down" because the audience is booing her, you need to watch it. I have not seen this nor have I NOT seen an older now, Sinead with hair and some weight... she is just as beautiful as I remember her so well in the 80's (in College in Colorado)! I do not remember Kris standing up for her but the fall out was everywhere... people talked about it with venom on both sides of the fence!! I love her and respect him for doing that, sticking up for her at the booing of Sinead at Dillon's Birthday concert... Thank You Daniel for your spot on description of the duet!!!

This is why I have loved this man for 50 years plus. He wont do what he doesn't want to for the right reasons, yet he stays humble, kind and honest. He is a genius, you see and hear it in his songwriting, he owns up to everything in his life and stays true to Our Lord. He is a legend, a Godly man and true to himself. Me too, what an amazing friend Kris was to Sinead. I'm so glad he was there for her on that horrible night in MSG in NY. I still can't bear to watch how she was treated. The crowd was so brutal. It was heartbreaking.

It's beautiful, and sad. Sinead looks vulnerable here. But even in struggling, every gasp of her breath makes you want to listen.

A well known song , sang by Kris beautifully. With Sinead and Kris singing together it's so sad and fitting for various reasons. Two beautiful friends . Sinead a straight beautiful and honest lady x

No doubt about it, Kris is a good man!

If there is any doubt as to why the art of songwriting is so important, more than commercial success or cool factor, this song, this performance speaks to it. A great and talented, beautiful and courageous young lady, singing a song befitting her, and singing it with a friend .... We are so fortunate to witness it and enjoy it. Angels don't get such opportunities.

That is the softest gentlest version of that great classic song I've ever heard.

Two examples of living the motto, "stay true to yourself"

I’ve heard this song for over 40 years, but never really listened to it before. It really is simple and beautiful. Song with conviction by two great artists.

I am always reminded of the story of Kris getting that letter from his mother, her disowning him, telling him not to ever come home, all for his choice to pursue music... he's working as a janitor at the music studio and Johnny Cash is there, recording. He is shown the letter and, upon reading, feels enough compassion for Kristofferson to befriend him and to give his music a chance...I often find myself wishing that Kris's mother felt massive regret for that letter when he achieved stardom, but, either way, I'm sure he has never gotten over it....thank God for Johnny Cash's good heart and thank you Kris Kristofferson for yours, as well, as you defended Sinead from day one...r.i.p. Sinead and Johnny...
