@chromaticcanuck The whole robots gag was because people said they looked like robots on stage in their early years, so they took it to this whole other level and had their mannequin/robots made, it was so good it's hard to tell in some videos who was the robot mannequin and who was real

I hope that one day, soon, I will go with my dad to one of their concerts in Europe and thank both my Dad for showing me in my youth this song, and also to have him at a Kraftwerk concert where he never went! ❤️

1978?!!!!! So ahead of their time!!!!!! This is one of those bands I like to refer to as "a musicians band" or a "true music fans band." You know, those legendary bands that a lot of people know but haven't heard, the kind of bands that inspired almost everyone of a certain genre.

It's clear that Daft Punk was influenced by these guys. The use of vocoder and groovy beats and synths used by these guys makes me think of Daft Punk's music that would come less than 20 years later.

I was walking through Town East Mall in Mesquite, Tx. back in 1978 (I was 16) and heard this song coming out of a high end home stereo store. I was so drawn to the music I had to walk inside and find out who it was. The salesman was nice enough to give me a quick background on Kraftwerk and urged me to pick up the album if I could find it. It was the most unusual music I'd ever heard.

I was 1 yrs old here in 78. Got see Kraftwerk twice in 2014. (The Riveria in Chicago & The Midland in Kansas City.) We drank at The Green Room b4 The Riv show. I took a chunk wood off The Riv's wall as a Sovingner

Some of them, but not many (the drum pads are an example). They used a lot of expensive new (at the time) stuff, like the famous Mini Moog. One of them had a very rich father to fit the bill.

Изора Армстид, Turbo B, его сестра Джеки Харрис и Пенни Форд - те ещё чистокровные немцы, уж простите мне мой местечковый.. даже не расизм, а лёгкое занудство... Они все американцы. Все кто был на сцене и записывал вокальные партии. Немцами там были только продюсеры. А Чингиз-Хан это кич и клюква хренова, а не эмоции. Тогда уже лучше вспомнить Сандру Крету, у неё с эмоциями было хорошо. И у всех, кто её молодую видел или слышал. Или её предыдущий коллектив, Arabesque, там веселья вообще через край.
