Wow, I never knew Peter played glissando guitar. Makes perfect sense now from the sound of the recording. These guys were über-tight. I would not miss the mimes;)

I was scrolling through the comments til I found someone who mentioned the mimes. What the fuck were they doing? The music is amazing but really.

Nice bounce on the bass guitar there. A small Pastorius vibe there.. The mimes look just like the mimes in the film Blow Up,( the tennis scenes). The same outfit etc.

That's actually a technique called 'glissando guitar', invented by Daevid Allen of Gong.:)

Yeah, zis is schprockets and I'm your host Dieter..... the music is pretty good for its time though - something tells me the guys from Kraan got a couple of good laughs out of those mimes!

Gosh - sooo tasteful and characteristic!!! Love it!!!

Don't waste your time trying to convince me that not even one musician up there didn't want to swing a guitar or drumstick across the head of one of those mimes. Don't even think about it.

Saw Kraan live three times around the Frankfurt/Mainz area back around 1980. It was fantastic. The first concert was ion Mains Eltzer hof with the old drummer: fantastic. The second was with Gerry Brown: incredible! The third was with Gerry on drums and a vocalist who always played the keys. Still great, but I didn't like it as much as the other concerts. Still: when Ingo Bischof started hitting the keys, he brought the house down. Wonderful musicians throughout, great wacky German jazz-fusion.

Kraan spielen am 16.o1.2010 in Bocholt, Kulturort Alte Molkerei, als trio: Hattler und die beiden Wolbrandts.. Ich freu mich drauf.

Just before the two minute mark, the guitarist was using a screwdriver to sweep the strings on the fretboard...interesting and nice.

I'm sure they aren't mimes but dancers painted like mimes. Real mimes would eat them alive. Second, I'm sure they weren't Kraan's idea but rather some tv producer's. Either way the music is fantastic.

was hast du denn fürn problem? meinung bleibt meinung und das respektier ich. Ich bin auch nicht grade ein fan von technischer und synthetischer musik, aber wer sagt denn dass damit keine gefühle rübergebracht werden können? vielleicht ist dies ja ihr medium zur ausdrucksfähigkeit. MEINER meinung nach ist kraan neben kraftwerk und can das einzige worauf die deutsche musikszene stolz sein kann.
