Pity that this program contains all different flavours of jazz. I adore Chris Barber and Kenny Ball, and everything dixieland. But modern jazz bores me to death.

Ndugu Chancler on drums. Patrice is sounding awesome, for sure very Herbie influenced. What a marvelous touch on the Rhodes. This trio sounds fantastic.. crazy Actual Prooflike groove and some great jazz harmonies and intervallic movements. It kind of contemplates everyone I would dare to say. Also, there used be a trio with Patrice, Ndugu and Stanley Clarke. They recorded an album with some standards reimagined. Pure gold.

I believe you are looking at the finest jazz trio ever assembled. Some would slide in Verniel Fournier, Israel Crosby, Idris M. etc.--but I really think this is it.

The makers of this film skipped over about 10 years of the British Celtic folk revival. No Bothy Band, Clannad, Battlefield Band, Tannahill Weavers, Planxty, Jock Tamson Bairns, Silly Wizard, Archie Fisher, Ossian, Mary Black, June Tabor, Dougie Maclean, Dick Gaughan, De Danann, The Clancy Brothers, Boys of the Lough, and more? That seems an idiotic blunder.

Jumping from Sandy Denny's death to the Pogues was a big leap in time, ignoring the huge influence of the late 70s and early 80s Celtic bands like Planxty, Battlefield Band, Archie Fisher, The Bothy Band, Boys of the Lough, The Clancy Brothers, Clannad, Jock Tamson's Bairns, Silly Wizard, The Tannahill Weavers, Mary Black, June Tabor, Ossian, and many many more.
