Trot contains "authentic trot", but also all popular music genres from it's 1930's beginnings up to about the mid 90's: jazz, show tunes, rock, disco, and EDM. There is a lot to explore, and you must learn to at least read Hangul. Hyeyeon took me there years ago, and I love her madly for it!

@@stealthis You might need to get your ears checked. There's a lot of good music coming from the 4th gen right now. New Jeans, Billlie, and TripleS all have a high percentage of good songs. And aespa, Stayc, NMIXX, Lightsum, IVE, Kep1er, Le Sserafim, Odd Eye Circle, and Fifty Fifty all have at least a few really good songs too. In fact I would have to say that the best music of the 4th gen is better than most 3rd gen music, and way better than just about anything I've ever heard from 2nd gen.

I love most, if not all of the songs on this list, but it does remind me of the concepts companies used to force young women, sometimes even minors to do. There are plenty of women in Kpop that enjoy a more mature style, and are freaking amazing at what they do, like Jessi, HyunA, Chungha, etc. But I've heard horror stories of ex Kpop idols who were forced to do concepts they weren't comfortable with. That's one thing I really don't miss from the slightly older generations of Kpop

Bring back sexy concepts in kpop for age appropriate artists of course. Some of us older fans deserve some grown and sexy bops lol

This is why 2nd gen was called the golden era of KPOP. Most of their hit songs always have an impressive key point of choreography even you're NOT a fan. And after 10 years passed, people still remember and talking about their hit songs too. Nowadays, feels like it just all about a tiktok challenge, got popular for a while and then the song goes by just like that. Not really a song that you will look back again. And is there any girl group out there make an adult mature (plz you don't need to be sexy) concept in this new gen? I think most of them always using a same pattern every comeback. Either girl crush or cute one.

Kpop did me dirty. Let me explain. The industry went with the thirst trap concept for damn near 10 years, and then now all the new girl groups are minors in school girl outfits. So while I went from being in my 20s to my 30s, these girl groups went from being in their 20s to being in their teens 🤦‍♂️ no fan meet events in my future 😂

It made her feel insecure and cheap. So where did you read about that? Not doubting you, just wanting to read about it. Hyemi and Minha were the youngest, at 19 international age. Honestly, I think it'd be scary enough going on stage, but in revealing outfits as well? Terrifying. Sera was also kicked out for airing her grievances over the excessive use of sex appeal. In The Nine Muses of Star Empire, you get a peek into how a staff member does their best to sacrifice the girls' comfort in favour of them "being sexy" for a live performance before debut. With the excuse of them being that they're models so they should look "good". 🙄

The fact that I knew the every gg song especially the 2nd gen ggs song. You can really never go wrong with 2nd gen songs. No matter what concept they ate. Hoping for more 2nd gen groups reunion comebacks.

Catallena and Love Bomb are the songs that got me into Orange Caramel and Fromis_9 respectively. Alot of these are my fave bangers too tho ❤❤❤ And you know Chaeyoung was ABSOLUTELY out there Makin rent during Fancy. That was absolutely her ERA! AND OMG Wendy's visual with the dark parple hair and blue contacts in punky clothes during Bad Boy era omfg iconiccc!

Thank you very much for those names! I had not heard of those groups before so I looked them up and I love both of those songs now! The video for the Orange Caramel song is hilarious! Fromis_9 reminds me of Girls Generation - at least for the Love Bomb song. Thank you very much for brightening my day! 🥰🙏💕

As far as I know some of these girl groups who did sexy concepts were forced to...like I knew about Stellar. This should definitely be condamned. Idol should be free to choose what they want to do and absolutely not being exploited. I'm sick of the culture of the gentle and submissive woman in kpop and asian culture in general and I praise every idol who go against it in spite of the backlash (Sorry if I made mistakes, English is not my first language)

This video didn't disappoint. This songs are 🔥🔥🔥Honestly it's rare this days to find someone who has this good of a taste 🤌🤌 7:13 Bad Girl Good Girl, The Boys and Fancy combo was so delicious. It was a triple kill and 19:56 is one of my all time favorite song I LOVE that song.
