I agree. It's pretty unfortunate that the Korean-Pop industry is a bit... messed up. All the idols who serve there are always objectified - especially the females. It's really sad that their companies they are under dresses them in these types of clothes just for money from the "fans". Even if they are uncomfortable with it. And if they do something "wrong", like just being THEMSELVES, they get SO much hate thrown at them. For example, (I'm sorry I'm using this) there was a K-Pop idol named SULLI. She was being herself. She posted a selfie where she was just wearing a shirt without a bra. She was also openly dating a man. SO MUCH hate was thrown at her, and she was just being HERSELF. She commited suicide. All she asked was to be respected...

@@BarryB.Benson You don’t even need that much research. All K-pop idol groups have specific clothing and fashion designers that pick their outfits for them, and they don’t get to pick. It’s basically a known fact by this point. It’s basically like how celebrities go to professional cosmetologists to do their makeup. Obviously they don’t do it themselves and they don’t pick their outfits themselves.

I find it nice how the members who tend to get the more “modest” clothes always help their fellow members. Jeongyeon and Moonbyul both have this sort of tomboyish look (whether the company chose it for them or not) and so they always help the members with short dresses and such because they don’t have to worry about themselves. Really shows how kind female idols are to each other and what a great bond many of them have.

I love how they do it without even looking or panicking like " this is normal"

Honestly both men and women idols are sexualised and have it rough for them, even though some are extremely young. People tend to notice women one more because I agree it is mostly women with the bad outfits but I think it's uncomfortable for men when they have to wear tight pants and when their shirts are see through or their shirts rip because we might not know that the idol was very uncomfortable and didn't want anyone seeing them like that.

Ok Im not a kpop fan at all but this is really heartwarming to watch. Im glad they care as much for eachother. This world is messed up and Im glad they have eachother's support to pretect them from it.

These girls are so hardworking, talented, pretty, make efforts to always look sharp and I am sure none of it is easy, but what made me fall in love with the k-pop idols is their values. The way they cover their legs ( I am not implying that women should cover themselves but these people do it for their own comfort or whatever reasons they feel the need to do so), how they bow at each other respectfully. The uncomfortable clothes are one part of it. The ruthless media, the unrealistic expectations of displaying a “perfect image” from their employers and the sexist society we live in are the other reasons why they do that.

Peachie Fuz some of these idols appear to be wearing normal skirts and dresses, but some of these idols are much taller than others such as Joy from red velvet, Seolhyun from AOA, and Doyeon from IOI/Weki Meki. Because of their height, their skirts/dresses tend to look shorter than the rest of the girls. female idols tend to wear normal sized skirts and dresses (with safety shorts underneath), but when they sit or crouch down their clothing will roll upwards (scrunch together) causing them to look shorter than they appear. it’s not the stylists fault for picking their outfits because it’s their job to doll up their artists and make them look great. People who sexualize these idols are the ones at fault because they are the ones who make idols feel unsafe with their clothes. there’s nothing idols can really do about it other than to cover up or pull down their outfits because that’s just how dresses and skirts work

yuuuaaly well typed! If you check there’s even times were idols are wearing skirts layered (I’m forgetting which idol but one in particular was wearing 2 tennis styled skirts for length) and people were STILL saying her skirt was too short, some idols just happen to be taller than average so of course things are going to seem shorter on them than say me whose 5’3 🤷‍♀️

Actually in SOUTH Korea, cushions are provided for in many places because it's part of the culture not for just idols, but for any and all females there to cover their legs,even if your skirt isn't that short.

Even if it wasn't sexualized those skirts are SO likely to be blown up, in some of the clips there skirts are flying up ON STAGE where they knew they would be and they still had them wear it despite the wind that was clearly there.
