@Luciano we aren't but Travis is. Anyone who follows Judo will respect Mr. Stevens. You can fight over words, the technique is true.

my MCL cringed at this. im sure when executed properly by both tori and uke, it's safe. but i can also see some gnarly knee damage with full resistance and/or less than perfect technique.

Sometimes uke has to accept the fall and relax otherwise most gakes and tani otoshi would end with twisted knees.

I tend to stand with my lead side grabbing my opponent´s lapel but I assume we do this when stance is a little bit to the side ? Thanks for sharing.

What if in side to side fighting, opponent keeps stiff arm? Then I guess you can’t go in to bear hug him. Need opinion 🙏🏻
