Up next for Top Rank Boxing, Japan’s pound-for-pound hero is set to headline the biggest boxing event his country has ever seen. Undisputed junior featherweight world champion Naoya “The Monster” Inoue will defend all the belts against Mexican puncher Luis “Pantera” Nery on Monday, May 6 at the Tokyo Dome.
Inoue, a four-weight world champion and two-weight undisputed king, will headline at the iconic venue for the first time.
Inoue-Nery and three additional world title showdowns will stream live and exclusively in the U.S. on ESPN+ at 4 a.m. ET/1 a.m. PT. Australia’s WBO bantamweight world champion, Jason “Mayhem” Moloney will defend his belt against rising knockout artist and former kickboxing world champion Yoshiki Takei.
The world title quadruple-header also features WBA bantamweight world champion Takuma Inoue (19-1, 5 KOs), younger brother of Naoya, who defends his title against former world title challenger Sho Ishida (34-3, 17 KOs). And, in a flyweight world title tilt, newly minted WBA world champion Seigo Yuri Akui (19-2-1, 11 KOs) battles Taku Kuwahara (13-1, 8 KOs) in a rematch of their 2021 Japanese title bout, which Akui won by 10th-round TKO.

Ray Mercer's knockout of Tommy Morrison made me shudder he got clubbed so brutally. Even though this fight when the distance, Vitali Klitschko's one-sided fight against Shannon Briggs shoulda been stopped long before the bell; only fight I couldn't enjoy because I was worried with Shannon receiving all those chopping overhand rights to the temple. And on the women's side, I just saw what has been dubbed "the greatest knockout in women's boxing history" when Ann Wolfe nearly took Vonda Ward's head clean off!

I betcha 98% of men receiving that overhand right from Anne Wolfe would have gone to sleep 💤 like Vonda Ward or at least been counted out! 🔥

#4 was not that crazy at all. Very typical finish, especially for Inoue. Only thing crazy about it was that it was Fulton being beaten like that.

@@Cheezus97 now i see what you did there lol.. BUT ONLY PROBLEM is the video title says “..leave you speechless”, And was it crazy enough to leave me or anybody speechless? Nah, not at all. Matter of fact i clearly had a lot to say about it haha

@@lukewestwest speechless no you’re right but.. it was a jaw dropping moment.. drive by punch to knock out Fulton, cmon that was insane. But did not leave me speechless. The Sebastian Fondura knockout had me speechless. I’m not sure if that one is in here though

@2:20 So DAMN CLEAN. You see guys get ht and they brace for the shot or maybe even roll with a bit, Fulton didn't do either. Just a FLUSH shot to the chin. And I'm pretty sure Kostya went to camp and trained to fight a guy with only a left hand because he looked like he had NO CLUE how to get out of the way of Phillips' right hand and, after the fight, he basically said it didn't matter what he did. He was going to get hit anyway.
