@samueljacobson470
5 жыл бұрын
Other person commented about Daddy. That song is an absolute raw catharsis and nothing else. It has some crazy bass playing by Fieldy and it's incredibly unsettling, especially if you delve into what went through his (JD's) mind when doing the vocals. If you need explanation hit me up. But yeah they are very hated by people and I honestly expected to see more hate comments here. Either way I would probably have been in a much darker place in my life had I not listened to them so I'm thankful to them. That and they introduced me to seven strings as well as experimentation with guitar noises.

Most of these riffs are not played correctly on some way or another. In tone terms, you're not too far off, except for the fact they started using an octaver effect from untouchables onward. This is why Here to stay sounds so thin in comparison here. Still, credit where credit is due, cool tribute nonetheless

Good job on the video. If you will allow me one weak complaint, I know this is “riff” evolution, but their chord progressions are probably the most interesting thing about their music. I would have liked hearing more if those parts.
I was curious if you would have the new song riff in there. I dig it. It just made me realize how hard it is to top RIV and insane as first singles

First four albums have very cool bass and drums groove . Guitars are always very chaotic but simple . They will be rocking in their 60s . Everyone grabs his first 7-string to play these songs .

Which distortion you used
Imagine if Korn had access to the guitars we have access to now. They recorded most of the old stuff using an Ibanez Universe 25.5 scale guitar and not until recently, at least head, started using longer scale guitars, dont know about Munkey.
