Korda Thinking Tackle Podcast
Спорт
Micky Gray is a carp angler with an unwavering appetite for pursuing some of this country’s most exclusive carp. One of his most notable captures includes the exceptionally exquisite ‘Bazil’, from Yateley’s North Lake.
The proceeding years have seen him write two acclaimed books which chronicle his colourful angling life, A Merry Olde Dance and most recently, How’s Your Luck? Each publication features a selection of his impressive repertoire of outstanding catches, which include, ‘The Fully Scaled’ from the Summerleaze and ‘Daisey’ from Nutty Lane.
Notably, Micky has the distinction of being the first angler to land a carp over 40 pounds from renowned big fish water, Wellington Park.
In this exclusive podcast, Micky joins Simon to discuss all aspects of his personal and carp fishing life. He also shares his opinions on the modern carp fishing scene and reminisces over his formative years fishing on the Yateley complex.

So you wish Terry Hearn had the same mind set as Micky Grey? That would make Tel a tedious angler who still thinks he is 18 years old

@@michaelgray377 legend mate when you talk about going into work and they're all chanting Basil....epic mate
More of the Yateley golden era lads would be fantastic. Lewis Read, Ritchie MacDonald (would be as much of a coup as Tel), Rob Maylin, Robin Dix, Steve Neville (Mr Ultracult himself), Ben Hamilton, Steve Fantuzzi, Steve Pagulatos, etc. Yateley Angling's Ruth Lockwood & Ian Chillcott on the importance of heritage would be another great listen/watch. Sir Pete Springate, Jason Hayward, Kenny Hodder, John Harry, Tom Banks, the list is endless. A lot of todays anglers wouldn't know of a lot of these names so would be insightful completely.
