Kopytka are Polish potato dumplings. They are similar to gnocchi. Very easy to make. You only need a few potatoes, egg, and flour. A very popular side dish to many Polish dinner plates. SMACZNEGO!!!

I might be tempted to add finely chopped, sautéed onion and parsley from my garden. Your ideas for toppings are great. I have guests coming for dinner in a few days and will make them.

You should have more subscribers. You have a good channel. I remember my great grandmother would make duck blood soup. I always wondered how she made the dumplings that went into that duck blood soup.

So at what point would you freeze these for storage? And how would you reheat after storing, thanks 😊

After they cool off completely from boiling. Because they're coated already with the butter you can then lay them in a bag and freeze them. You could also put them on a cookie tray and individually freeze them and then once they're frozen put them in a bag. When you go to reuse them simply thaw them out on their own naturally.

@@joebeckerinpoland my moms side of my family is eastern European on her dad's side. Anytime she'd cook sauerkraut and pork or cabbage rolls I'd be in heaven. Her uncle had a eastern European restaurant and that's where she learned the recipes.
