That is so cool, its good to experience all genres of music. During the 80's I listened to Whitesnake, Motley Crue, RATT, Def Leppard, and Van Halen. I also listened to Hall & Oates, Kool and the Gang, DeBarge, New Edition. The guitar work on K&TG song Misled is cool too.

Because corporations pick what they think will sell. Used to get paid to sit in groups and pick out songs liked best. They would play those songs over and over, till our favorites became hated.

Rataya I am a White 67 Male, grew up on the streets of South Philadelphia and this was and is one of my all time favorites. I served 3 Tours in Vietnam and I have always lived with one belief skin color is just decoration it is an individual's Character that counts. I think some one said that a Loooong Time ago but it is the essance of my beliefs.

I'm a white guy too. 46 now. I love these tunes from Kool and the Gang. Color should have nothing to do with it. This is good music. I love the guitar. Misled was another of my favs. I'm right there with you antonio.

That is so cool, its good to experience all genres of music. During the 80's I listened to Whitesnake, Motley Crue, RATT, Def Leppard, and Van Halen. I also listened to Hall & Oates, Kool and the Gang, DeBarge, New Edition. The guitar work on K&TG song Misled is cool too.

I think George and Kool are the only members of the classic line up left. JT does not perform in the group anymore. I love playing and singing their music at home on my arranger keyboard.

I agree. It’s got that tight rock funk sound to it. Michael Jackson and even Gap Band did sounds like this during that period. That’s why they all managed to have crossover appeal.

Because corporations pick what they think will sell. Used to get paid to sit in groups and pick out songs liked best. They would play those songs over and over, till our favorites became hated.

+Liz Smith I remember Jimmy Swaggart used to go into what looked like an epileptic seizure whenever he would talk about either Stryper or the Solid Gold Dancers! Marilyn McCoo, who was an actual Christian used to host that show. She did a lot of good.
I Love this song, I am from a Portuguese speaking country and I remember that my first steps for learning English were listening to music sang in English and that included songs from kool and the Gang, Aretha Franklin, James Ingram and many more.... l had an opportunity to go to kool and Gang show in my country, Mozambique, it was wonderful and unforgettable day.. long life funk musicians
