I agree with Disco, I think that was kind of establishing for like say the Pillars, their value to Tony isn't necessarily their market value outside of AEW. If I was scouting AEW's roster I can name eight guys in the same age range and realistically I can sign all eight for what Max would cost and still have money left over. Considering Starks, Hook, and Hobbs are top of that list of eight, Max isn't worth seven figures on WWE's roster. Realistically he'd be on NXT, same goes for Darby, Jungle Jack, and Sammy.

Always putting on 5 star matches diminishes the rating and its draw factor. I watch for the feeling of competition which means sometimes matches shouldnt be 5 stars. Get the W , not every match has to be 10-15-20+ minutes. Sometimes a quick 5 minute win over someone is more impressive than the best 7 star match you have seen.

I think HHH was talking to anyone who prefers to sign for the reason of not wanting to work. I understand we all want more money and less work. It's a dream come true but it still shows your work ethic and you are saying you don't want to go to a much bigger company and earn your spot. Will is super talented but even if he is the best wrestler and always has the best match. What is his drawing power? No disrespect, but it's obviously not that much, especially with the booking of AEW. They have the talent to compete and could draw more fans. But until Tony ends this vanity project of his fantasy booking wet dreams for himself and Meltzer it's never gonna happen. He could still be heavily involved and still could make matches but he needs someone or a team to actually book the angles/stories to make the match mean something. He is going to have to tell the talent to stop trying to get all their stuff in and let stuff breathe. Even when he talks himself to the fans, he can't let stuff breathe. I saw a clip of him trying to keep fans in the arena for battle of the belts or ROH, whatever it was. He practically was begging people to stay but at one point , the crowd was chanting his name and he cut them off as it started to build. If anything at all should tell him that stories are what gets people invested, look no further than the Bloodline storyline and Cody's journey to the championship. No matter whose side you are on, it's undeniable that both stories were extremely over.
