I agree 100% with Disco. Talents cannot always rely on materials given to them by creatives. They need to build something of their own that's entertaining. Prime example The Rock ,people boeed him when Vince want him to be Maivia . Then he went to Nation of Domination, and rest is history. He made himself. Nobody in creative told him that he should start talking like a third person as The Rock says. This was his idea, his creative.

You are 40, and your gimmick is even being "old school" 80 wrestlers. So DON'T DO DANGEROUS SHIT! No reason to. Work your gimmick, work your character. Take time off while injured so you can extend your career.

Uncle Dave and the AEW audience are so deep into it that they know everything about every wrestler and are fans of their in ring work, so the storylines aren't important to them. It's an extension of the culture surrounding the tape traders like Uncle Dave and Tony Khan. They grew up watching matches without knowing the back story that led up to the matches they were watching. All they had were the matches, so that is their focus.

What exactly defines a failure in WWE? The guy wasn't a multi-time world champion, but he held the mid-card title several times. Made millions of dollars, traveled all around the world and met the love of his life. I'd say that's as big of a success as any man can ask for.

Luger Sting and Randy never should have been in Wolpac..none of them fit the cool of the Wolpac. Konnan fit perfect and got over. Rey wouldve been another great addition to Wolpac ,with or without the mask.

I can sum up the reason why the talent doesn't speak up in one name: Thunder Rosa. When she finally spoke up, she was buried by Baker and it was endorsed by Tony. Shibata, Danielson, and Paige work in AEW because they can't get cleared anywhere else. New Japan is brutal on their talent, and even THEY said no to Shibata. Starks shortened a match as a precaution, and hasn't been on TV since.

It’s aew vs aew right now, they’re in their own way, more than anything “WWE” is keeping them from getting…Dave probably has to build new sources too, which is frustrating at this stage in his career. I feel like Ricochet’s failure is more on WWE. He’s a massive talent in the ring and they should have FORCED him to get better on the mic. He’s ok, but he’s not as bad as some people say he is. He should not be leaving, but it’s a failure on WWE.
